1 out of 5 eggsnot so easy

Pros: Nice looking motherboard. Lots of good features.

Cons: Cheaply built. Installed with an FX9590 cpu and AMD liquid cooler (mobo ver 4.0) but was never able to install operating system, Windows 7. The motherboard would not recognize the ASUS DVD ROM nor the ASUS DVD R/RW drives. Reset the bios at least 10 times and followed the installation manual exactly, no luck. Should not need luck. Removed the FX9590 thinking that the mobo was not recognizing it. Installed an FX8350 and reset the cmos and reset all parameters in the bios again. Finally after about 8 tries the mobo recognized the CPU and the DVD ROM and DVD R/RW drives. WOW thought I. Not to worry, now it doesn't recognize the 2 Raptors that I have in raid 0. I have been working with this mobo for a solid week and I finally give up. After using Gigabyte for about 25 years, I give up. No more Gigabyte. It is built a bit to cheap for me.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed and very, very frustrated. Gigabyte support does not seem to care. There help was very little.

5 out of 5 eggsGet's the Job Done

Pros: Very Compatible
Dual Bios makes computer start Extremely fast
Looks sleek even though looks dont matter,
Has plenty of ports for even more parts then just the primary ones required to have the computer run. Plenty of upgrading capability. Extremely diverse Bios,

Cons: Badly placed fan Plugins

Other Thoughts: Generally it's altogether, a well built bios, so far I haven't incurred a single problem with it. Many Props.

3 out of 5 eggsAudio on the board went out.

Pros: Very Fast and Easy to setup. The software setup was super simple.
The quality of the board was really good.

Cons: The Green Audio Port on the board went out last week. The Head phone port on the PC Case works just fine. I checked drivers and Bios updates but nothing has worked.

2 out of 5 eggsWon't buy Gigabyte again.

Pros: It was a great board, worked really well with my AMD FX-6300 (6-core), and the RAM I had in it to begin with. Had dual bios, and a nice UEFI worked smooth.

Cons: Says it has a wide variety of RAM compatibility that I found not to be true. When I got my first one it was DOA..I found that this was a poorly built motherboard, it has no speaker, or led lights to say if there is anything wrong with your system...Very Poorly built...

Other Thoughts: When I Upgraded my RAM from what I understand on Gigabyte's website support page. The RAM was capable of being handled on this board. Soon after I upgraded my RAM not 2 hours into it my graphics card drivers start failing to a point where my computer was freezing completely..then wouldn't start back up never hit POST. Took it to the computer repair shop to have it diagnosed..found out that the Motherboard was fried...

1 out of 5 eggsCorrupted Bios, USB Freezes

Pros: None, too many freezes.

Cons: Well , what can I say, first time something from newegg has failed on me..
But the RMA was pain free, I sent today the board for a Replacement which was easy..

In the morning first turn on it would sometime come up with BIOS corruption , it flashes correctly and the go to Windows, then sometimes Usb devices like Keyboard and Mouse freezes, then Windows..

But when it doesnt freeze Windows is stable..
I think it had to do with the USB chip failing on boot.

2 out of 5 eggsNothing but trouble

Pros: Great features, plenty of ports for everything

Cons: I have a revision 1.1 board with a FX-8320. The board cannot supply a steady amount of power to give the processor any respectable overclock. This has been resolved in later revisions, but good luck making sure you have the right revision. The north bridge heat sink is a joke. I replaced it with a solid copper heat sink, not near as attractive but much more functional. Non UEFI even considering I purchased it in 11/12 the competitive boards had it. After 4 months I demoted it to an htpc / server, which is how it finished its life. Didn't make it 2 years and no warranty because I replaced the junk NB heatsink

Other Thoughts: Highly doubt I'll ever purchase GIGABYTE again.

1 out of 5 eggsCame in DOA

Pros: Nice looking board

Cons: Came in and was DOA

Other Thoughts: Will try again to get one working. Newegg is good to refund/replace this with no problems, but wish you could get one working first time. I read where others had same problem, to bad for Gigibyte
