Has it all! Nice board.
- Pros: Installed in a new build with no problems. Loaded Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it booted fine but most drivers were basic. On board vid is plenty fast for my non-gaming build.
Overall solid board that needs a little tweaking to get the max performance out of it. Very easy to OC just about everything!
- Cons: You'll want to get the updates drivers for Windows 7 64x form Gigabyte...especially the video (or ATI)
Default to DDR3-1333...tweak to BIOS to set at 1600.
- Other Thoughts: Gigabyte mobos are rock solid.
Great value
- Pros: Flashed newest BIOS from USB stick before I even installed it in the case - very easy.
Unlocked the 2 disabled cores on my Phenom II X2 550 BE. Running all 4 cores @ 3.6GHz, HT @ 2600MHz by changing only the multipliers. Auto voltage settings are right where they'd be if I had to set them manually, which I didn't - well within AMD's specs. Stable under Prime95 and has not crashed or shown any instability during a week of very rigorous testing. Temps within design limits.
- Cons: Had to manually set Sideport memory speed to 1333 from 1066, probably defaults to setting for earlier Sideport memory speed.
Had to manually set my DDR3 to 1600 and set timings manuallt also, but not a big deal. -1 Egg for not being able to hybrid CrossfireX my HD4870 with the onboard HD4200. Like others, I'm disappointed that the newest (and arguably the best) onboard video solution only works with old, slow, cards (HD2400/34XX cards to my understanding)
- Other Thoughts: It's my first build using either Gigabyte or AMD, but won't be the last!
- Pros: Easy installation, stable running, good pricing.
- Cons: Drivers disk a bit stale.
- Other Thoughts: Go to the ATI website for the latest Catalyst drivers and all will be fine.
