Features

Features
The PWM signal input from the mainboard is used to control a series of connected PWM fans for optimal performance in noise and cooling.

Connect 2 PWM fans to your mainboard's CPU socket. Use multiple Y cables to connect a series of up to 5 PWM fans and provide as much extra cooling as desired.

Power drawn into your CPU cooler is adjusted depending on its temperature. An idle CPU does not generate as much heat, requires less active cooling, and hence slower fan speeds will be sufficient. Further this also reduces the overall ambient noise of your PC and it's handled automatically with little risk to your PC components.

While PWM fan controllers are very common in today's PC industry and available on most mainboards, there is often only one or two such PWM headers, reserved for the CPU and or the chipset fans. One way this excellent noise reduction idea can be extended to the numerous case fans inside a typical PC is by utilizing a GELID PWM Y Cable.

The long cable provide enough length to reach any location in your case.

5 out of 5 eggsThese Things Work Like a Charm

Pros: With 2 Fans of Exact similar specs will just detect them in your PWM as one fan and control them accordingly
Works super will control the two fans as if they were just one at least for my "Coolermaster Blademasters"
Fantastic leangth to allow you to reach almost anywhere to connect to the 4 pin fan connection

Cons: Scary package leads you to believe it will only work with Gelid Fans They worked fine on hooking up my Multiple Collermaster blade masters"

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: Works right out of the box, hooked it up 2 front intake Rosewill Hyperborea 120mm Case Fans connected to MSI Z77A-G45 front 4 pin connector. Cable is braided black and feels very sturdy. One of the plugs has a pin missing so that the motherboard's bios doesn't get confused with 2 fan signals.

Cons: The price is a bit much for what it does.

Other Thoughts: I'd advise you use this with fans of the same model, you don't have to though.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!!

Pros: Very easy to install, low price, and high-quality!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I shopped around for these since they were low-priority and more cosmetic (for cable management). Awesome price for high-quality cables! They work perfectly and look great =D

5 out of 5 eggsgreat solution

Pros: Works just as it should. Allows two PWM fans to be run in tandem. My mobo only allows for one CPU PWM fan (as most motherboards do), so i was able to use this for a push-pull config on my CM Hyper 212 evo.

Cons: none, maybe a little expensive?

Other Thoughts: No problems.Of course the UEFI on my mobo reads them as one fan, but no complaints here. Nice looking black sleeved cable, and long enough to allow for cable management.

5 out of 5 eggs4-pin fan splitter - works well

Pros: It splits a PWM signal which is ideal for getting both fans in a push-pull configuration spinning at about the same speed.

There is also a missing pin which makes sure the RPM signal doesn't get doubled by mistake which may confuse some motherboards.

Not much else to say. It does what it is supposed to.

The cables are sleeved too which is nice and keeps the four individual cables out of the way.

Cons: Possibly a con is, surprisingly, the length. 350mm (a foot an a couple of inches for you imperial system fools) is long enough to reach most anywhere but PWM is really only important for the CPU fan since it *should* be the only one that cares about the fourth PWM signal.

Why is the length bad, then? Most heatsink fans already have cables more than long enough to reach the CPU fan header. I don't need an extension cable. I need a splitter. If you're lucky enough to have a case with good cable management you can probably tuck away the two feet of cable you don't need but for something like a Hyper 212 + Antec 300 combo, there isn't anywhere to put the mess of cables and it can interfere with the fans if they aren't tied down somewhere.

Expensive.

Other Thoughts: The length can be an issue but it's probably better for the cable to be longer than necessary and just manage the extra yourself.

At the end of the day, the cable splitter will work perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome piece for added cooling solutions

Pros: functionality, useful, has purpose, design and manufacturing.
WORKS.

Cons: need to order more 'just in case' for future builds.

Other Thoughts: if your motherboard doesn't have the extra amount of headers then don't trip out if wanting a dual fan CPU cooler (push/pull). works flawlessly and does not interfere with any system/temp monitors. second fan is made for 3-pin models..

5 out of 5 eggsBest splitter out there

Pros: Sleeved and heat-shrunk, tidy, well constructed, PWM capable, perfect length and a good compromise of cost and quality.

Cons: I wish it came up when I searched for 'fan splitter'

Other Thoughts: Must buy!
