3 out of 5 eggsOK - not a magic bullet

Pros: Works fine but only increased signal strength from 50% to 60%.
Cheap - worth a try and cheap enough to play with and try to improve signal with foil reflectors, etc.

Cons: Had hoped for a more substantial improvement in signal strength.
Cable was only 1 metre long, so not enough to put antenna in a much more favorable reception position. Only just reached from under-desk pc to put antenna on desk.

Other Thoughts: Was an "open box" item but looked pristine - great deal from Newegg.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Price
Flexibility

Cons: Cord length

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these to replace two antennas on my Dlink DGL4000 gaming router. I had hoped to be able to extend to my bedroom in my house in a significant manner, but it did not. It made the signal in my downstairs pristine, but even only being a flight of stairs and an additional 4 feet away, I only see minimal gains in signal.

Cord length is a pain. I highly recommend buying extensions if you intend on having this further than 2 feet from your router.

I did like that you could adjust the angle of the antennas though. Whether or not it helps in my application is trivial, but I could see it helping a lot to someone who mounted these on a ceiling or wall.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: This antenna works just fine. It picks up decent signal. If you want a miracle with a 5/7dBi antenna, you people need to get real. I am getting 72% signal strength 130ft from my router through 5 walls. Thats VERY impressive. I've seen better, but that was also a 9dBi directional antenna. For the price its reasonable. FYI I am Network Admin and running only a basic Netgear router at the moment. So its not fancy equipment nor did I modify hardware or firmware everything is running at stock.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I'm happy with this purchase. Though if you want a great adapter/antenna look at the alfa modems.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap and effective

Pros: Currently, I'm using a DLINK DIR-825. The modem and router are in the basement on one side of the house. Across a 3500 sq. foot home, I got zero coverage for 1/2 of the house. I bought one of these to expand the range. Now, I have 1 to 2 bars on the farthest end of the house. I am buying a second one to see if I can further boost the signal.

Cons: None. It's too cheap to not try out. The DLINK stock antennas are junk, so almost anything is an improvement.

Other Thoughts: I would like a little more stability on the base.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Wonders

Pros: Good Antenna, good range, used it on a Linksys.
Extra cable for moving the antenna around.
And Magnet on the bottom to hold it in place.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Why aren't you buying it now?

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the $10

Pros: Needed to improve the Wifi signal quality for a Action MI424 (Verizon) router. My average throughput was about 4-6000Kbps before the replacement. Afterwards, about 11000Kbps. Additionally. I mounted this through a blocking wall in the house, and I now get a full strength signal in the front part of the house no problem.

Cons: None really.?

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well....

Pros: I am able to get a good solid connection(about 4 bars) for my workstation which sits on the floor in a room about 30 feet away. Not bad considering the thick walls in my house.

Cons: The cable really is short, what where they thinking. You have been warned??

Other Thoughts: This is just my lazy fix for now, when I get some more time, I will run wire in the house, since I have a media server setup and do network backups of all the PCs in the house, Gigabit ethernet is really what will work best for me in the end.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Very Well

Pros: Works great. Good range and connectivity. Desktop is upstairs, router is downstairs and it still offers great connectivity. No ethernet or Cable connection where desktop is located, so wireless was a great option.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Got this as a replacement for an older desktop that I added a wireless NIC. I accidentally ripped the wire out of my first linksys antenna (my bad).
