4 out of 5 eggsPower adapter

Pros: 2 USB3 ports and optical dirve and sata drive bay in 5.25 bay.

Cons: No power adapter for slim optical drive. No adapter built in to connect slim drive to back-plane on back of drive cage

Other Thoughts: You have to buy separate power adapter for optical drive. Using this for a itx low power build.

2 out of 5 eggsannoyed

Pros: The unit seems solidly built, was easy to install, and gives more flexability to cases that have limited 5.25in bays.
Reasonably priced. Newegg experience always excellent, very fast delivery.

Cons: The first time I attempted to eject the ssd drive from the unit, it seems to be stuck. One reason I purchased this adapter was the hot swap accessibility. I intended to be able to interchange drives easily. Big disappointment when discovering drive is stuck and will not eject.

Other Thoughts: I normally would not write a review unless I really had a great experience with a product or a very poor experience, clearly I have the latter w/this product. Upon installation everything went very smoothly, nothing to indicate a problem. Very bad feeling discovering that I had wasted time and money on a product. Caveat emptor, "let the buyer beware".

5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: Everything works as advertised

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Using it mainly as a convenient way to swap SSDs being used as memory cards for a BMCC.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Duper

Pros: Fits a 2.5" hard drive -AND- a slimline DVD/CD/BR into a single 5.25" slot.

Cons: The USB cable (this unit has 2 front panel USB ports for convenience on it - but they're not required to use the unit) ... anyway, it won't fit most motherboard connectors. Not a big deal, since I bought the unit for its drive holding capability, not the extra usb ports.

Other Thoughts: It's relatively inexpensive and it does the job nicely. What more can I ask for?

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: Allows to add 2 more USB3.0 on PC front panel and having Adds Slim Optical Drive on on one 5.25" bay, which is nice and has integrated SSD 2,5" bay. USB3.0 header cable connects to motherboard USB3.0 header plug. Same time allows to hot-swap SSD 2.5" for backing data (it has small door and integrated bay to fit SSD in). Included 4 reg. screws to mount it to 5.25" PC bay and 2 little screws to mount Slim Optical Drive inside of adapter. I mounted Pioneer BDC-TD03HA optical drive inside it has SATA-Slim connector type so had to buy cable for that separate. Pioneer BDC-TD03HA optical drive often comes built in housing which allows USB interface to use it externally, but in order to get it work internally with SATA interface need remove USB housing. This 5.25" bay adapter looks nice on the front of my PC has shiny chromed SSD bay door.

Cons: No multimedia card reader on this 5.25" bay adapter. No SATA-Slim or IDE-mini cables included which is required in order to connect Slim Optical Drive so will have to buy it separate.

Other Thoughts: I would rather prefer to have SD-card reader than SSD bay in this 5,25" bay adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Adds almost every expansion necessity in a single 5.25 bay.

Cons: The USB cord comes shoved into the back slot, and is a little difficult to remove. No instructions.

Other Thoughts: This device does everything it looks like it does very well. Even though I had some initial problems assembling it, it works great and looks nice in the 1U servers I installed it in.
