1 out of 5 eggsSilverstone PP05 does not work with SILVERSTONE ST45SF-G PSU

Pros: Shorter than stock PSU cables.

Cons: Silverstone PP05 does not work with SILVERSTONE ST45SF-G PSU. ATX power cables do not clip in place. Had to use the stock cables included with SILVERSTONE ST45SF-G PSU.

Other Thoughts: My recent build:

Case: SilverStone RVZ01B
MB: ASRock Z87E-ITX
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
CPU Cooler: Stock
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 16GB DDR3 1600
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW
HD: Seagate ST2000DX001 2TB
GPU: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for buying a SilverStone product. The PP05-E was designed to work with amajority of our power supplies, including the ST45SF-G, so the problem you are experiencing should not be happening. Please feel free to send us an email at USARMA@silverstonetek.com and our technicians will be more than happy to help you check if a replacement is required.

5 out of 5 eggsMATX/IT Must have

Pros: They are perfect for small forum factor cases like my Thermaltake Armor a30.

Cons: Only 4 sata and 4 molexs connectors, what if you have more than 4 sata and your molex are in use?

Other Thoughts: My Armor a30 can hold 5 drives and 2 5.25 but I cant power them all with the 1 shot cable kit. Ill have to get another one so I can power everything.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Short.
They work.

Cons: sleeving could be a bit better done, but nothing worth knocking an egg.

Other Thoughts: Should've done my research a bit more, but was excited to get this build going. Bought thinking they would be shorter than the cables that came with my Silverstone ST45SF. They aren't. I essentially spent the money on something I didn't need. But that's not their fault, that's mine.

4 out of 5 eggsKinda Pricey

Pros: Very well made, short.

Cons: To Expensive, didn't come with 4-pin CPU 12v Power connector.

Other Thoughts: This should be an OPTION when you buy the power supply. $25 for short cables is crazy, but in a small case they are a must! The added room in an ITX case was almost worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: Bought these to replace cables that I lost, They happened to be the perfect length as well. Works just as well as the original cables.

Cons: Doesn't come with the extra CPU 8/4 pin cable.

Other Thoughts: Pins are kinda hard to remove if you wanted to sleeve them, you have to pull harder than you think you should.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great for FreeNAS setup

Pros: These cables made a nice, clean install in a LIAN LI PC-Q25B case using ST50F-P p/s for my FreeNAS build.

I could cleanly route the cables to the m/b and hd 4-pin molex connectors.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If your building a small form factor box with the Silverstone p/s, these will make a nice clean job. These would be optional as the long cables included with the p/s would work.

5 out of 5 eggsMust have

Pros: Perfect for a Micro ATX build.

Cons: 24-pin ATX power plug was a *bleep* to plug in.

Other Thoughts: This short cable kit was the only reason I bought a SilverStone power supply. It's great mixing and matching just the right cables to hook everything up. My only complaint is that the 24-pin ATX power plug was a royal pain in the rear to plug in. The breakaway 4 pin part easily slid in but the main part took extraordinary force to get all the way in. This was exacerbated by the poor design of the Asrock 880G U3S3 motherboard which is very thin and does not have standoffs to support the back corner where the ATX power plug is.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A must for small cases, such as the Lian-Li Q11. Cables are nicely sleeved for improved wear and appearance. The kit provides a full assortment of cables, too.

Cons: The ATX power cable, in particular, is very stiff. The kit is somewhat expensive.

Other Thoughts: I used a mix of these and the regular-length cables (came with the PSU) in a Lian-Li Q11 case, especially to get around the 140mm front case fan.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Nice cables.

Cons: Says it comes with a 20+4 adapter when it actually comes with a 24 pin. Was not a problem as my mob could use either. As a result I had to use the 4 pin cable that came with the powersupply to power the processor which wasn't a a problem for me as the shorter cable would not reached the processor

3 out of 5 eggsNice Idea but a few snags

Pros: Great idea for SFF systems! All cables are wrapped and look nice.

Cons: Each PCI-E 6+2 pin plug is on it's OWN cable. So if you are using a SFF power supply like the ST50F-P you'll only have one PCI-E plug! I had to use the stock PCI-E cable that came with the PS that has 2 plugs on one cable. HUGE oversight on Silverstone's part!
