Cons: Only supports 2.5 inch drives, will not power 3.5 inch drives.
Other Thoughts: The product description says it works for 2.5 inch drives, but does not specifically say it does not work with 3.5 inch drives. I have another (usb 2.0) cable that has a separate power cable that takes up a lot of space in my bag, I wanted one simple cable to replace it with. After it not working on several 3.5 inch drives I had to research why, thinking it was broken. It is working properly but does not work with the larger desktop drives.

Rating: 4/5Great little tool
Pros: Bought this to clone an old drive while I was upgrading my laptop and it worked quickly and efficiently. When it was done, I just plugged in the new drive and away I went. I have used it since with the old drive as an external as well as at work when our dock died. It has been well worth the money so far.
Cons: Feels a little cheaply made but you get what you pay for. The rubber casing for the drives also leaves a bit to be desired but neither of these things have effected its ability to do what it is designed to do.
Other Thoughts: In hindsight I might have ordered a unit that supports both SATA and IDE, espcially if you have old hard drives laying around.

Rating: 5/5Works Well
Pros: Really cheap and does the job. Not sure what some people are talking about saying it doesn't have 2 ports on the hdd side.. I've been able to use it on every computer I've tried it with. Haven't tried a mac but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it didn't work with it. But then again what does work with them. Very happy costumer!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I like the silicon case.

Rating: 4/5Saturates USB2.0
Pros: Compact, activity light, runs usb2.0 at >30MB/s, usb3.0 >60MB/s. It's actually faster on usb2.0 than the usb2.0 model with 2 plugs
Cons: does not have 2 plugs as shown in picture. this is the main reason i picked it over others. occasionally you may run into a laptop with usb2.0 that does not produce enough power to spin up a drive with 1 plug
Other Thoughts: wont spin up a full size drive on usb3.0. i didn't expect it to, but i know usb3.0 does produce more power

Rating: 1/5terrible, never worked
Pros: None
Cons: Has some severe compatibility issues. Most of the time the computer simply cannot see it. When it works, it works for just couple of seconds, and then the computer reports it as ejected, as if you did that, only that it ejects itself. Tried both Mac and Windows, same symptom. I have WD My Passport USB 3.0 portable drive, never have a single problem with all my USB 3.0 ports on my system. I even made a 12V power supply cable myself and plug it in, no luck (this adapter can actually drive a desktop drive, but you need to plug in the 12V power supply, which is not included, you don't need this external power supply if only used together with a laptop drive)

Rating: 4/5Worked perfectly
Pros: Extremely easy setup, just slip your drive into the protective casing, plug in the connecter, and plug the connecter into the USB cable to your system. Very fast transfer rates. I used it to transfer all my files off my old laptop drive to the new one and it went off without a hitch.
Cons: None that I can identify.
