5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: This controller fits perfectly in my case. The setup was easy.

Cons: The led's are too bright. If the speed is turned below roughly 25% the led turns red which is still too bright.

5 out of 5 eggsIn control again

Pros: She does what she says! It does allow you full control of your fan speed, from whatever min to max that your fan will do.

Cons: No cons to report here

Other Thoughts: I like having my intake fan on one control (knob) and the exhaust fans on another. I have 2 fans linked together, so I still have 2 knobs unused.

1 out of 5 eggsThis product is HOT!

Pros: It did its job and worked great over the years until...

Cons: ...it caught fire. Yes, I'd had it a few years. Yes, I had just done some work on the PC and probably jammed one of the fans that was connected to it.

It still shouldn't have happened. A couple of fuses could have prevented it. I guess I'm never leaving this computer on unattended again.

Other Thoughts: The blue LEDs are REALLY bright. Or at least they were before it blew up.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks, but is cheep

Pros: This fan controller works.

Cons: Not very well made and looks cheep. This looks like it is for the type of person who has LEDs and clear computer cases.

Other Thoughts: When I upgraded to a case that had a door on the front of it this did not fit because of the knobs -- just something to keep in mind.

4 out of 5 eggsyou get what you pay for.

Pros: -Price
-4 Channels
-works great for my 120mm fans, and LED
-Bright LEDs
-Aluminum

Cons: -Cheaply made. Had issues with plugging in fans ext. Be very carful not to break it.
-Had a hard time fitting it into my drive bay. But with some mucle, it worked, but took some time

Other Thoughts: If I got an option to buy this product again, I would. but only owed for a few weeks. only time will tell on this product. Just take care of it, and its great!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh, it's ok

Pros: Cheap, works pretty well.

Cons: Very flimsy. The power connector that plugs in from the PSU partially broke on initial install. It is still on there enough that it works, but very delicate.

Other Thoughts: For the price it's hard to go wrong with this thing. Just be very delicate with it. This thing is as flimsy as can be.

1 out of 5 eggsDelicate

Pros: Simple interface

Cons: Cheaply made, propensity to damage while installing, after 1 month, showing signs of failure

Other Thoughts: Already wrote an extensive review, but it never showed up. Here's the abbreviated version. 4 pin molex bent 90 degrees while trying to seat the connection. Return shipping was more than the unit, so I re-soldered it to ensure good connections. After testing fans/controller before install, I could not disconnect them. I had to use a razor blade to shave down the lip on each connector (while fans connected) so they would release. Installed and it worked fine for 1 week, then LED #3 turns red and fan drops in speed. Swapped cables/fans, and it is the controller. Bad fan connector on board? bad pot? bad solder joint? I cannot check solder points on circuit board because they glue a foam pad over the bottom of board and it's too much work to get it off for inspection. The controller is ~$20 incl shipping. It's just not worth this much hassle.

1 out of 5 eggsTreat it like an egg shell

Pros: The frame and dials are the perfect form/function I wanted in a 4 fan controller.

Cons: 1) LEDs are very bright (worked for my application as described below, but not good if within line of sight)
2) Qualtiy is lousy and high risk of breakage/damage when installing. Mine also showing signs of trouble after installed

Other Thoughts: Got this as a fan controller for home theater cabinet. Power supplied by inverter to run 4 120mm fans (.16V ea). While connecting the 4 pin molex, connector on unit bent 90 degrees (as another commenter mentioned). Looks like it was only attached by the tiny leads. Glued it down and re-soldered. Connecte the fans to make sure they work. Had to really work to get the connectors to mount to this thing, then could not get them off. Had to use a razor blade to shave down a lip on the controller (while the connectors were still on!) to disconnect fan wires. Ok I mount the controller to the underside of the cabinet top behind a wood piece of the cab to block the LED brightness (I am only slightly exagerating when I say you would be blinded by these LED lenses while trying to watch TV - even from 15 ft). Everything worked fine for 2 weeks and then pot #3 LED turned red and fan slowed by ~1/2 (reduced voltage?). I swapped fans and it's the controller. I now have 3 blue, 1 red LEDs.

4 out of 5 eggsUseful - Nuff said

Pros: Hasn't caught on fire yet. After reading that reviewer's post I actually bothered to look inside my case to make sure...just in case.

Other than that it seems to work fine: It controls the 4 - 140mm extra fans I installed in my case with it, just fine from off to max. I can definitely see this as a help during the coming summer days of triple digs when some extra airflow in the case is MUST here in the desert.

The controller does allow connecting of 4-wire connections...at least with the ones I installed. Was a bit of a tight fit but it works.

Cons: I have to agree that the lights are WAY too bright, especially if you put your face directly in front (blinding...ESPEICALLY the blue ones). But this can be remedied with some strategically placed tape to act as a shade cover.

The molex connector was an issue. After installation of the controller I'd realized I'd forgotten to attach the molex cable. Tried doing it while it was in the case and ALMOST broke the plug off the controller. Fortunately it didnt so I gingerly removed the controller and plugged in the wire that way.

Other Thoughts: The LED indicator lights could really use a toning down. But it DOES say in the pamphlet that came with it that they're ultra bright.

This review is only initial based on the first hour ish of operation so it may change come tomorrow, etc.
