2 out of 5 eggsHTPC 200B

Pros: Solid case metal - adequate venting - plenty of screws - Mobo went in very easily. Newegg delivery time - Outstanding!

Cons: My opinion of this case may be affected by the fact that this was a used case when I received it - it was probably a return. You could tell that someone else had removed the drive cage(s) main frame many times due to the scratches and that they had also removed and replaced the the screws several times. The actual aluminum vertical supports between the cages were bent which made it a little difficult to get the optical drive to sit level which made the mounting holes for the drives not match up with the slots in the drive cage - had to drill the holes a little larger to get them to match. The intake fan in front is blocked by the drive cage itself so because I am only using one hard drive I removed the cages blocking the fan and it works a lot better. I was going to return it but the outside of the case was O.K. and this new build was going in the basement to primarily play music so I skipped the hassle.

Other Thoughts: One other thing - the HDD light on the front of the case has not been drilled out so you can see it from the outside. At first I didn't think the light worked but you can see it blinking from the inside where it sticks into the front panel, the same with the reset switch - the power switch is O.K. If this is not a return the quality of this case leaves some room to be desired - you can get a much better case for the same money.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Great case it fits 7 Hard drives and 1 CD/DVD/BD drive

I have a p7p55d-e premium motherboard installed with 4 sticks of ram, PSU, front LCD display. One side fan(came with case) two exhaust fans(came with case) and a tv tuner with a nvidia gt 240 graphics card. This case has more room to spare and I even managed to clear the entire motherboard from cables. The case keeps really cool, I run the PC 24/7 and runs around 57c, which is not bad at all for a case designed for HTPC but I run 2 virtual servers and play games and have TV running.. however...

Cons: ... the Drive bay's dimensions were slightly off. My Drive does not fit in sync with the front panel. The drive actually has to sit behind the front panel. The front panel is not flush with the cases body. It sticks out .5 centimeters on the far right of the from the front of the case and as you look from right to left you'll see it start to sit flush with the rest of the case. I've grown to get used to it.

The LCD display that is designed for this case... well the software is not updated and therefore it does not work with Windows 7's Media Center. It pretty much will read anything else besides the information while your inside Media Center. So currently it just sits their for a night light.

Other Thoughts: I just wish the makers of the LCD would update their software for Microsoft Windows 7.

The case is very nice, it keeps everything cool

4 out of 5 eggsdarn good case for htpc

Pros: all my stuff fits easy, I like hd tray. good quality for the price.
Kinda Purty once you pull the plastic protector off.

Cons: Like everybody says, on-off button junk. took front panel off (watch for 2 screws that hold it on, one in middle, one to left side looking forward) with front off I drilled out top screw holes in 120mm fan mounts so fan sits correctly in mount and I use 4 screws per 120mm fan.
It takes some re-engineering to fit dvd player. after seeing all the crying about dvd mounting, I spent a lot of time studying it. Realized whoever wrote instructions has never assembled one. The 2 front OD mounting screws need to be in the "A" holes and you must remove the "door" on the front of the loading tray. Then with the addition of 3 shims made from a MS keyboard box under the dvd player it lines up perfect and the door pops opens easily with no loading on the tray. And the 2 screws that hold in hd tray will now fit where they belong.
The PS will fit the existing holes if you take out the rear fans before installing the PS.
Replaced all case fans w/Enemax Marathons so I could plug them into MB.

Other Thoughts: Junk in the trunk:
gigabyte ep35-ds3r MB
4GB Corsair 1066 ram
Core2Duo Q8200
CM Vortex-plus cpu cooler
Zotac GT220-1gb ddr3
650w Antec modular PS
Lite-on 4x dvd reader (no burning here)
OS drive 160gb WD 2.5 HD
Samsung 1TB hd x 4 for storage
Haupague 2250 tuner x 1
Pinnacle 800i x 1
Pinnacle 800e x 1
Pinnacle 801e SE x 2
addesso wireless key board w/rollerball mouse built in.
Firefly rf remote and Beyond TV4

4 out of 5 eggsgood case.

Pros: all metal
holds 6 hard drives
clean style
tons of random front mounted inputs for random memory cards that i will most likely never use.

Cons: the door action feels a little cheap however the doors them self feel pretty heavy.

the tabs on the rear that cover pci slots can not be replaced once removed.

the hole for the MB inputs is large and does not offer any way to cover it or custom configure.

one of the fans is making a little noise out of the box.

I dont like the way the cd rom mounts. ( from the bottom not the sides like most drives.

4 out of 5 eggsNice HTPC Case

Pros: Great air flow. Easy to manage cables and drives. Looks great.

Cons: Like most HTPC cases my huge Video card makes things a tight fit and actually makes one of the internal HD bays unusable. However the unusable bay is a good place to cram the wires.

Other Thoughts: Remember this thing is HUGE so have enough room when its done. dont forget to add another 2 inches in the back for the power cord and other cables.....

5 out of 5 eggsEasy HTPC assembly.

Pros: This was my third build and my first HTPC. Case design is pretty good, and cable management was exceptionally easy. Front end has everything you would possibly want (e-SATA, card readers, 1394, multiple USB, etc). Lots of room for hard drives and good cooling options.

Cons: Once you take off the expansion card slots they can't be put back on. Annoying...but not enough to drop the rating.

Other Thoughts: I bought this because it was a compromise between function and price. That being said, I can't imagine being happier if I had spent a lot more money. This is a big case, so be sure you have enough room in your entertainment center...I'm going to need to re-arrange things.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for your HTPC buck.

Pros: Takes a full ATX + SIX HD's.

FYI - nMEDIA support reports vertical room over processor is "5.8 - 5.9 inches" so know that when buying an aftermarket cooler.

One 120mm fan on front LEFT side blowing over the HD cages + an empty120mm mount on front right side of case.

These both blow IN from the sides to the center of the case. I put another 120mm Fan in to get some air in there.

The case ships with 2 x 80mm blowing out the the back. I added a Rosewill Slot cooler and another 80 rigged to the roof of the case blowing out. All together I'm pushing about 100CFPM through the case.

The case is vented all around the sides and right above the proc.

Oh btw - There is also an 3.5 external bay. Didn't pick it up in the pics, specs or reviews. But it's there. Surprise!

I'm running:

Antec TruePower TP750
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
AMD 1055T Hex-Core
2 x 2 GIGS GSKILL Ripjaws 1600 F3-12800CL7D-4GBRH
2 x 500GB Western Digital Raid 0
Scythe Big Shuriken cooler

Cons: The bottom fold down door IS just a little chintzy feeling.

It just has the feel that it's hanging by a thread and it's going to fail someday soon.

Other Thoughts: Support responded to my email in about an hour. Nice.

The whole thing is well built - steel all the way around - with a brushed front panel. Makes a great stealth PC.

I went round and round over this decision. I looked at a dozen cases from the Antec 900 series to Xclio and others with elaborate fan systems built in. From full towers all the way down to the little Antec Mini ITX case.

I didn't want to make too many trades at the MOBO level.

I went with this because I wanted FULL ATX in a desktop with everything at fingertips vs fiddling around under my desk.

It has enough room inside for most people. If you HAVE TO HAVE 3 optical drives and a 2 bay fan controller w/LED's this is obviously not the case for you.

If you want something a little more understated and sublime....check this out. It's sexy.

P.S You can always throw in some cold cathodes and a water cooling system if you really wanted to - that empty 120 is perfect for a corsair H50.

ZOOM ZOOM!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Looks great in a AV setting next to all the other AV equipment. Doors hide all the front connections and drives.
Plenty of cooling. Lots of space for drives and cards.

Cons: Blue LED is very bright and Red Hard disk LED is very dim.
Because of all the cooling fans and open venting. its bit on the loud side. But you get used to it. Knocked of one egg for noise and LED's

Other Thoughts: If its too loud you don't have your movie or music loud enough.
