1 out of 5 eggsFire Hazard

Pros: Fast Shipping

Cons: Upon opening the box I noticed the sealed brick power supply has a loose part inside that rattles. Loose parts inside of the power supply is a manufacture quality issue that could cause a short and fire hazard.

1 out of 5 eggsMini-ITX Enclosure external 120W PSU

Pros: Sturdy Case, small footprint, led's work well, external PSU runs cool, fits mini-itx perfectly, makes a great HTPC, excellent cooling, space for small ventilation fan if using a Hot Mobo. PSU has plenty of extra watts (when they work). About the size of a Hard back book. Cute little feet to stand unit up.

Cons: 63% overall success rate..Ordered 8 cases 3 defectives.
1 Faulty PWR switch (repairable).
1 Faulty USB Port (repairable).
1 Faulty PSU...non-repairable..
PSU DOA, no luck getting swap, tight deadline and had to eat cost.
Also defective USB port on one case and defective Power switch on another. Disassembled units; reseated wiring, trimmed excess plastic, seems to be back online
New units are very difficult to disassemble the first time.

Other Thoughts: Wish I could get a working PSU, had to order replacement from another vendor. Took the hit to get the unit finished in time.. Went from 5 star to 1 star over the last few months. Service and Support major factor in this rating. Superb case but components to the end item are starting to cost extra money, will look for other Case options in the future..

5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid Case!

Pros: Very Strong. I feel like I could drop it and it wouldn't care, although I don't recommend it. The power adapter that comes with it is a true 120w adapter and not a 60w. It has a spot far a fan on the bottom forward par of the case.

Cons: Hard to open for the first time. It took two people.

Other Thoughts: A good, no cut corners case that fits an office environment well.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic value, followup

Pros: Great case overall, see my original review.

Cons: One thing I noticed when I had the case up and running was a strong smell, a bit like burned rubber. It took about three weeks to fully dissipate. Something to take into account when buying, and possibly for the manufacturer to address.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Buy

Pros: Small Case, Mini ITX fits snugly, Sturdy, well built, power supply has plenty of extra watts, mounting spot for ventilation fan, extra power/sata ports for external DVD, front audio, usb ports. Recommend, well engineered product. LED lights on front are subdued blue, not blindingly bright.

Cons: Price a little steep, difficult to disassemble, had to check out the manufacturer web faqs for guidance, main board power cable to long, had to stuff and bend precariously.

Other Thoughts: I'm the IT Tech at work, I build systems every week, this is by far the best Mini ITX case I have purchased.

5 out of 5 eggsNice HTPC Case

Pros: Small size, nice looking front panel. The front light is not too bright. External Sata and Molex connectors. Very happy with this in replacing a larger HTPC case.

Cons: Very tight fit, very little room for air flow, no room for decent fan (except listed in other thoughts). No ODD. Only supports 2.5 drives. Not really cons against the product as it is what it is. In order to have the small foot-print, you sacrifice the above.

Other Thoughts: Was interesting building this and routing cables with no room inside the case. The MB connector took a lot of valuable space inside. Was able to mount an 80mm fan to the top of the case inside to provide some air flow.

5 out of 5 eggsBest. Case. Ever.

Pros: Small: it fits one Mini ITX board very closely, yet just roomy enough that positioning the board inside is not much trouble.

External power supply, 120/240V, plenty for any Haswells, hence as quiet as it gets.

Plenty of internal connectors and cabling but not enough to become a serious impediment to manage.

Intel G3220 stick cooler fits, normal profile RAM fits. Cable management for my board would have been easier if I had chosen low profile RAM.

Weirdly enough, the case has a std sata & std IDE power connector that can be accessed from outside (panel on the other side from the usb ports). I like it.

Once I had assembled the first system (present for my family for XMas) I immediately ordered a second.

Cons: Would not fit a pci-e card that needs connections to the outside world.

No frontside USB 3.0 ports.

Only one internal 2.5 mount (theoretically there's more room next to the CPU at the bottom of the case, but you'd have to glue the disk in place.

Lots' of opening for air, you would have better airflow if you strategically closed some.

No reset button.

Other Thoughts: I used a G3220 with an ASRock H81 board, 4GB of Geil DDR3 1333 and a HyperX 128GB SSD. First system I built under $400, incidentally also insanely fast.

Windows Experience index is 7 for CPU, 5.2 for GPU. Total install time for my entire working environment under 2h. Phenomenal.

Rock solid system, quiet despite me using the intel stock cooler (and yes, it just barely fits and creates a bit of a bulge in the casing - I tried mostly because I was dying to find out if it would actually work).

For assembly, I suggest first plugging in the back shield, then mounting just the CPU and the RAM on the mobo and finally placing the board inside and mounting the cooler assembly.

Note that grey = - , color = + for the mobo connector cables.

You'll probably need to use straight sata cables to attach the disk; pretty much all the cabling will be concentrated at the front of the case together with the PSU and the disk mount. Routing the cables so that they are out of the way (I went around the edges of the case) works well.

Thanks to whoever designed this, this is a fantastic deal and the only case on all of newegg that met my needs.

5 out of 5 eggsJust right... if you plan properly

Pros: This case is better then two similar cases I have been using (although it imposes the same restrictions... see below). front panel cables would accommodate more ITX motherboard layouts, and power supply is included, which makes this case's overall price very competitive.

Cons: Space is tight (as in any other ITX case of this size), that means you are limited in hight of RAM chips and overall hight of CPU cooler (some of the other case vendors would state those size restrictions in the specs)

Other Thoughts: If you decide on this case or on a similar size case, plan on acquiring RAM low profile modules that would fit. Also get a low profile CPU cooler. Some of the factory CPU coolers re too high to fit in those ITX cases (not just this one). As for after market CPU cooler, look for a cooler with an overall hight that is less then 45mm. That will do!

5 out of 5 eggsnot as advertised... BETTER!!!

Pros: This case is smaller than I anticipated. The one that I received came with a 120w power brick but the product page only shows the 60w brick. I was able to get everything to fit in with no real problem and it is all secured down. The stock cpu cooler for my I5-4570s just barely fits in there but there is still 1 or 2mm of space left. There is even an external 4-pin molex and sata plug on the opposite side of the front usb and sound ports.

Cons: no cons to speak of.

Other Thoughts: When I first un-boxed it, I pressed the power button and it got stuck. Upon removal and inspection, there was a little burr on the outside left over from manufacturing. Once I smoothed that out, there were no more sticking issues.

Current build:
Intel I5-4570S Haswell
Team Vulcan ddr3-1600 2x4gb
HGST 1TB 2.5" drive

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Everything works as expected and I got my mini-itx board, standard intel celeron cpu, stock cooler, ddr3 ram, and 2.5" ssd to fit. You should definitely know what you are getting into as far as space - see other thoughts.

Cons: If you stand the system up (tower-style), some ports are on one side and some ports are on another. Then it gets interesting if you try to lie the system down on its side - some of the ports will be face down. If you want the CPU to be right-side-up, then your USB and audio ports are facing downward.

Other Thoughts: The standard CPU cooler pushes up against the panel and causes a slight bulge. My RAM, despite being dirt cheap, had heatsinks on it that increased the height. This causes the SSD to push against the ram and tilt it slightly - yikes. I don't have the SSD attached to anything, there is quite simply no room for it to go anywhere, it has ram, cables, the side of the case, pressing against it from all sides. There is a bracket for mounting a 2.5" drive but I don't even know how I would fit that inside the case.

The power supply is an external power brick but there is also a small circuit board inside the case with power supply components on it. Do NOT assume that there is no power supply hardware inside the case. It is interesting where we are going with the external power brick idea, I'm sure a few years from now the size of the PSU parts left inside future cases will be slightly smaller.

The case is closed, everything is working, no regrets about buying this.
