5 out of 5 eggsgreat case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Great case... that's really it

Cons: more of a personal opinion but I wish there was an option for a windowed side panel but it isn't hard to make one if you want to.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Long-Term Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Great case, especially for the price. Purchased this around 2 years ago and other than dusting (which you will have to do a LOT of because of the airflow) has needed zero maintenance. Its sturdy and steady, and the feet keep it well off the carpet if its thin. Airflow is amazing, and for air cooling it may just be one of the best (and quietest, thanks to three 230mm fans) cases with a reasonable price tag.

It should also be said that Rosewill customer service is very accommodating. About a year ago I inquired about purchasing new covers for the 3.5in bays, as I had managed to mangle one trying to make a stealth drive cover for my old DVD drive. After one email I got, for free, four drive bay covers shipped to my home address.

Cons: For the price point there is really no cons to speak of. However I will say that, in my opinion, without the massive amount of drive bays (there's 6. Seriously) this would be a great water cooling case.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Tower

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Cable management is easy with ample space to thread and hide cables. The final product looks clean and allows for good airflow to keep the system cool.

The hard drive bays facing the side of the tower are a great convenience. They even have removable trays that make hard drive installation very quick and painless. The trays worked perfectly with both a 2.5" SSD and a standard 3.5" HDD.

The bundle of cables connecting to the front were easy to manage. They are connected to the top component of the case which is removable. They feed through a small gap around the top of the hard drive bay near an area that allows them to be easily managed.

Additional system fans can easily be added and manually sped by taking advantage of the two fan knobs on the front of the case.

Cons: There is a cable soldered onto a button on the front panel near the bottom of the case that powers the fan LED. Unfortunately, the fan is attached to the inside of the case. When I popped off the front panel to access the optical drive bays, the cable ripped off the button. If you want the LED to function, be aware that the front of the case must be handled with care.

There are removable components that allow for ease of access such as the front side panels and the blades at the top that can open and close for airflow. The pieces feel rather cheap and flimsy.

Other Thoughts: If you are interested in this case, I would recommend waiting for it to go on sale around $120ish. There are other cases at its current price range that may get you a bit more quality for your dollar.

Other than a few nit-picks, I did find it to be a great case. The best now is I don't have to worry about a front LED annoying me.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: What is not to like about this case. It is huge, has fantastic air flow, front mounted fan controls, 4 front mounted USB, is super solid, and has plenty of room for expansion.

Cons: If there is one, it is the weight. At 25 lbs, this case is a beast. But that is also one of the things I like about it.

Other Thoughts: I was debating between two different cases, and I am really happy that I went with the Thor. I will have this case for years to come.

3 out of 5 eggsMeasure Twice..

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Very spacious, this case is massive; truly lives up to it's name.

Very newbie friendly. I used this case on my first independent build.

Slotted vent on top is a nice touch. I know it's fairly common

Decent price, I got a sale price/shellshocker deal on it (I think) which is why I ended up pulling the trigger on it.

Cons: Bulky. Sure, I mentioned it's large size as a pro but it could easily be a con. I ended up having to stuff the PC behind my TV (near my desk anyways) because it won't fit on/under/beside the desk.. Hence the title of this review. Be sure to measure where you intend to put this before purchasing!

The fans are atrocious. I don't care what any other review says, these are the most disgusting & low quality fans I have ever used. The day I assembled, I was testing the functionality of the dials on the front panel.. If I EVER attempt to go lower than full throttle, the fans emit a dull humming noise. Sounds like they are loose or just very cheap. I have a Corsair H100i for my CPU so I had to remove the top fan anyways and I've also since disabled the side fan. The front fan (with red LED) is the one that emits the annoying noise. I'd suggest buying (immediate) replacement fans when you order this case. Rosewill makes good cases, bad fans.

My second point leads me to a third, the LED. If you're buying this based on the photo.... Shake your head. The red LED is barely noticeable, even with every light off in my room. Also, the panel has LED lights on the side (advertised as red) but mine are all orange. Not sure if something is faulty or what.. but the LED had no influence on my purchase though, so I didn't remove any eggs because of it.

Other Thoughts: I do like this case, but truthfully, I don't really have a choice - do I? My entire build (well over $2000) is stuffed inside of this case. I can't just buy a new case, throw it all together again, and then have this thing lying around empty. Basically what I'm saying is that I wish I would've done a bit more research.. Full ATX is what I need, but just a few weeks after I was seeing nicer cases for better prices. Just be sure you shop around, your case is like the foundation of your masterpiece! :)

4 out of 5 eggsThe Big One

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Very big case with lots of big fans to keep everything nice and cool

Nice wide open spaces that make things easy to work on and gives the good airflow and the ability to add large aftermarket coolers and GPU's.

Cons: Only things I've had go wrong with it is that the flaps on the top do not have a grate under them to prevent stuff from falling inside of the case and also the switch to open and close the flaps has become very stiff and is incredibly hard to open and close.

Should have 4 usb 3.0's on the front instead of 2.

The lights on the thor logo on the control panel burnt out after a week. The 2 on the sides of the control panel and the one on the front fan are still going strong though after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: Would really recomend this case if you don't necessarily care about being able to have a clear panel to see inside your computer and care more about performance and ease of first time assembly, maintenance, and upgrades. This case will last long enough that you will be able to upgrade or build a whole new box with it and to me it's more important than being flashy.

5 out of 5 eggsYou NEED to get this case!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: This case is easily the best case on the market that you can get. It has so much room for everything you can put into it (watercoolers included), LED's, and novice-friendly design. This case is a 1st builder's dream! I recommend this case for everyone for all of their building needs.

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Case!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Big case. Plenty of room for all you need! Quiet fans that move air in a efficient manner.

Cons: This is a Big Case. Be sure to check where you are putting it. Check the size, this is no joke!

Other Thoughts: Great Case. Drive cages are wonderful. Cable routing is not a problem. Can route so you don't restrict air flow. I did have to remove the top fan for a water cooler, but that's no con to me.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: This case is great. It looks great in my room without making a racket and tons of light. (good for at night...) I've heard people complaining about the cable management opportunities. I honestly didn't see the problem. All of the major data and power supply cables can be fed through holes in one of the sides of the interior of the case. They can be routed through the side and out of the hole closest to whatever you want them to plug into. You are going to see some wires, it won't be like those custom water cooling pc pictures you see, but that snit really a problem.
This case is HEAVY. Without anything in it, you're looking at about 36 pounds. I don't have a problem with that; to me all that says is that it is built well.

Cons: I really should have done my research before I bought it, but upon commencing on build, I noticed that it will NOT accommodate a 360 mm radiator. It's so big you'd think it would but, alas, no. I managed to drill two holes in the solid metal under the removable louvers, and bolt the radiator on. It works, and there is not aesthetic compromise.

Other Thoughts: Does not come with Mjölnir
