5 out of 5 eggsThis case is a beast. Plenty of room for STUFF.

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: The case itself feels very sturdy. No flimsy panels and it looks pretty good too. Lots of space for fans, radiators, large motherboard, and many many components (CD/DVD/BLURAY, HDD/SDD, video cards, etc.). Comes with a couple large 240mm fans (side and front) and a 140mm fan in the back. Front panel and fan have red lights (not bright, looks good).

Cons: The mic/headphone/USB2.0/USB3.0 inputs in the front are a bit chinsy. I have bad static issues with headphone front input. The USB inputs work perfectly fine, but seem a bit cheap. I'm using mic/headphone inputs in the back from my motherboard.

Other Thoughts: The fan controls seem totally unnecessary since most new motherboards will have fan controls you can calibrate from an interface on your PC.

5 out of 5 eggsHurricane in a ATX Full Tower

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: FANS FANS FANS! this thing has some amazing fans! If you want a case that will push some air then this is the one for you! Dual zone fan controller that can support 3 fans each! I have my top fan and back fan on control A and my door and HDD fans on control B. For lazy internet browsing and youtubing you can turn the fans down real low. However, If you bought this case for the reason I did (gaming) then you can crank those fans up nice and high and keep your rig nice and cool! The top vent that opens and closes is really cool and adds a good bit of noise reduction when closed and ventilation when open

Cons: The HDD Trays and how you mount the HDD to the tray is kind of weird. Instead of mounting the HDDs to the sides of the tray you mount them from the bottom. I just thought that was strange.

I had a few minor manufacturing defects in mine. There were two really annoying defects. The first was where it looks like they tried to screw the back panel top thumb screw into the case but missed the screw hole and pushed in the metal around the screw hole. I found that thumb screw in the bottom of the box... I had to use a hammer and and a screw driver to bend the metal back into place to get the thumb screw in. The back bottom thumb screw hole doesn't really line up with the hole on the cover so I had to fight with that also.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a huge fan of Red, multi color LED lights would have been a nice feature.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: THIS IS A MASSIVE CASE. Fits my 980 Ti and h105 CPU cooler. Has many openings for clean wire management. High quality metal build and fan control.

Cons: The holes to place the motherboard standoffs were small to fit most in (used pilers to tightly place them).

Other Thoughts: Got it on sale for $89 on Black Friday and I have no regrets. Heavy, metal, plenty of room, and keeps my setup with cool airflow. Highly recommend this case.

1 out of 5 eggsFan rattles

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Case holds stuff.

Cons: The front fan rattles like crazy and is the most annoying thing on the planet. If you don't use headphones, I don't recommend this case at all. I've gone through 10 other cases in my life and never once have I had this issue.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Red Tower

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Huge case, lots of room. Comes with fans and connections for them with fan control knobs. Its nice.

Cons: Dust vacuum. Front and Side intake panels get very grouse over time, as dust builds up, but that is probably just from my grouse house.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for air-cooled machines

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: - 4 pre-installed fans (2x 230mm intake, 1 x 230mm exhaust, 1x140mm exhaust)
- Space for up to 9 fans
- Fan placement leads to optimal cooling
- Tons of room for expansion
- Easy to install items/make modifications
- Front panel with audio, USB3.0, USB2.0, eSATA, power/HDD LED
- Fantastic cable management
- Looks GREAT
- Low fan noise
- Bottom-mounted PSU
- Filters for bottom-mounted fans

Cons: - ENORMOUS
- Fan speed controls don't reduce noise very much
- Very little clearance at the top of case

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely recommend this case with a few notes. First off: this case is gigantic. One of the biggest I've ever seen. This isn't something you can hide away under a desk; it's more of a centerpiece item. For those who understand this before buying, the case will do just fine.

Second, the fan speed controls cause the stock fans to buzz a little at lower speed. Because of this, the fans are no quieter on low speed than on high. But they're quiet when on max speed anyways, so it's not a problem to keep them on full all the time.

Perhaps the biggest problem is the top of the case. The top is designed as an exhaust with a 230mm fan. This fan can be replaced with two 140mm or two 120mm fans. This presents an excellent opportunity for liquid CPU cooling, I thought. Unfortunately, the screw-hole spacing is too close for most 2x140mm CPU radiators. I didn't try 2x120mm radiators, these might fit as multiple screw spacings are available for 120mm fans.
The other problem at the top is clearance. There's very little room between the top of the case and the motherboard mount. This presents yet another problem for liquid CPU coolers. Given the height of most motherboards, I think most double-wide coolers (2x120mm or 2x140mm) will be unable to fit. Indeed, many single-fan, liquid coolers will interfere motherboards as well.
I installed a Gigabyte GA170X Gaming 7 motherboard, an i7-6700K, and a Corsair H90 liquid cooler. This combination has only BARELY enough clearance for the CPU cooler. In fact, the radiator presses against the motherboard reset button. Luckily, it doesn't interfere with the operation of the button, but it's extremely close.

My recommendation with this case would be to stay away from packaged, liquid CPU coolers. This case has truly fantastic airflow right out of the box. There's a proper balance of intake and exhaust fans, two of both, and plenty of room for circulation. I'm sure there are liquid cooling options that would work well in this case, but why bother? Given it's fantastic air cooling, the stock fans will do a fine job keeping the machine cool - unless you're building an EXTREMELY powerful machine that's absolutely packed to the bursting point with components.

For the record: i7-6700K@4.4GHz, DDR4 2400MHz 2x8GB, GTX970, 2 Optical drives, 3 SATA 3.5" HDDs, 1 M.2 512GB SSD, Corsair H90
Inside this case, those components run at a perfectly comfortable temperature, even under load. It would be difficult to push the cooling capabilities of this case to their maximum.

My other note would be how great this case looks. While it lacks a viewing window, there's a large fan port on the side, plus three more mesh-covered holes which do allow you to easily see inside. The case lighting is red-only, but if this is combined with other red LED components, the effect is an entire case that emits a soft-red glow, with the word "THOR" burning in red LEDs on the front panel. With its sharp angles, black metal mesh front, and red color scheme, this case looks like something straight out of ancient mythology.

Overall, if you want a large case, with otherworldly cooling abilities, this is the box for you. If you want something more discreet, stay away.
