4 out of 5 eggsGood solid case......but.....

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Quality is what you would expect from Corsair, feels worth every dollar paid. More than enough room to mount radiator, much easier than a previous Corsair case. I was worried about the latches in the long term, but I have not experienced any issues as of yet.

Cons: I would have liked to be able to front mount fans without a modification. Holes weren't quite lining up. I wanted the increased case cooling, but I am not experiencing any thermal issues.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this case.

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is awesome. It's easy to take apart and there is tons of room. Installing new drives is super simple, there are tons of spaces for fans if I want them, and lots of places for me to hide my wires.

Cons: The handles are a bit wonky to hold it by? Almost wish it had one larger handle near the middle that I could use to hold with one arm.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome tower

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Was very easy to set up. I put so many fans in it, I use it as an air cleaner. Everything fit and I have room to put in water cooling. The wire management system is the best I have seen or worked with. Thanks to this tower, My friends are all jealous. I named mine Tank and added a hidden 5.25" drive bay storage tray painted to match. With the i7-4790k and a gtx 970 it lives up to its name.

Cons: It doesn't make coffee.

Other Thoughts: I wanted one without the window but couldn't get it without paying more. Other than that I love it. Very heavy duty, good looking and easy to use.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat looking, well designed, easy to carry, mediocre material use

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The C70 looks great. I have the Military Green version. The green is bright enough to not look dull, but dark enough to not be flashy. The tone is exactly right. The paint job is flawless, too. I have never seen the white or black version myself. But from the pictures, they look just as sleek.

Front panel. The front panel is made of steel like the rest of the case, resulting in a coherent design. Most traditional mid-tower ATX cases use steel frame + plastic front panel, of which I am not a big fan. The metal front panel is indeed more difficult to remove compared to most plastic front panels I have used before, as other reviewers have noted. The trick is holding down the metal clip on both sides as you insert/remove the front panel.

Handles. The handles are my favorite feature other than the color. It makes carrying a mid-tower case so much easier. Even a simple process like lifting up the case from the floor and putting it onto a tabletop can greatly benefit from having case handles. If you think that handles are only useful for transporting a case to LAN parties, you'd be wrong.

Cons: Lack of cushioning at PSU mounting position. The PSU sits directly on the bottom panel. There is no cushioning (e.g. rubber pad) between the PSU and steel panel. When you install/remove the PSU, you are essentially pushing/dragging a metal object on a rough metal floor. Over time I am afraid that the surface of PSU can be scratched.

Side window. The side window is hideous. But do remember the C70 is a 2012 product. Back then mounting fans on side panels was somewhat common practice. There are aftermarket solution if you are really upset about it, but I decide to live with it for now.

Material use. My biggest complaint and the reason I knock an egg off is poor material use. The steel is just too thin to justify the $100-$120 price tag in my opinion. I happen to have a Fractal Design Define S, which is about $20 cheaper than the Corsair but with a much more solid construction.

Other Thoughts: In summary, the C70 is a unique and balanced product. There are no major design flaws. Material could use some improvements, but the fit and finish and build quality are all great. If you can take advantage of rebates, then the C70 is a solid option in the $100 segment.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case if you want a military theme

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Tons of space
All metal design
Feels rugged
Great air flow
Beautiful Cable management

Cons: None that I can think of

Other Thoughts: Used this to build a military ammo case style computer. Military grade tough components inside. I had tons of room and amazing cable management the whole case if metal (except the acrylic viewing side) The buttons are also amazing on it for the theme love the flip up reset button like you are launching a nuke

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Plenty of room.
-Hardly any tools required. 3.5in drives and DVD drives need no screws. 2.5in ones will, but still worked with ease.
-Handles on top are functional and are good for carrying the case around.

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: -I got the green case. I only wish I could get a green face for my DVD drive. I may just paint it myself at some point.

5 out of 5 eggsAll around fantastic case

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: (1) The door latches that work similar to an ammo can are fantastic. The side panels rests on a bottom rail. You just latch and unlatch.
(2) Even the removable front panels are metal.
(3) Flawless green paint. No dents. Well built.
(4) 2-120mm Corsair A1225M12S fans on the hard drive cage, +1 more over the motherboard.
(5) Extra spots for 2 -120mm fans on top, and 2 on the window. Rubber vibration-isolators included.
(6) Plenty of room in the back panel for cable runs. Plenty of room everywhere, and room for everything.
(7) Sturdy carrying handles built-in up top
(8) Filtered venting on the bottom
(9) Mounting holes for SSD's in the removable hard drive trays.
(10) Open area behind motherboard in case you have a bottom mounted M2 card.
(11) The envy of all who behold it's glory.

Cons: (1) Tall Case. Not a real con. Just a warning.

Other Thoughts: I simply cannot stop smiling when I see this case. I have named it "Sarge" because it works for a living. Having worked with computers forever and a day, I don't think I've seen a better implemented case at this price.

Seeing how sturdy it is, and how sturdy the side latches are, and the fact that it has sturdy carrying handles; I'm considering mounting my 24-inch monitor directly to the back panel, officially making this a portable computer for LAN gaming.

Note: All built-in case fans use 3-pin connectors.

3 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly flimsy

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Excellent assessibility. Nice drive-bays, nice cable routing. No sharp edges.

Cons: Not nearly as solid as I'd hoped for an all-metal case - the edges are flimsy and deform easily, and the clips that hold the sides on are prone to rattling. The rubber grommets in the hard drive caddies pop out too easily and are a nightmare to replace.

Other Thoughts: I'm used to using cheap plastic cases, and this one's a step up from those. While I wish it were a more solid case, I can envision potentially using it for more than one build over time. We did have an unfortunate issue with Corsair where they offered a rebate and then hassled us when we tried to actually claim it, but that appears to have been worked out, and everyone knows companies don't like to actually honor rebates. I'll probably search more reviews to see if there's an actual solid case out there for my next build, however, even if it costs a bit more.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Quality, Design, Price, Easy build

Cons: Minor to me, fan placement by the HDD's.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased three of these cases in the last six months for my family members. My only regret is that I'm too cheap to buy one for myself.
