5 out of 5 eggsAwesome tower. Works and looks great!

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Case is very sturdy and well built.
-Everything functions as it should. Lots of space for adding more components as well as great cable management.
-PC build looks clean.
-Comes with all the hardware needed.
-Handles and panels feel strong. Feel like you could lift 100lbs with the handles and they wouldn't snap.

Cons: -The case came with a dent on the front panel. (Check "other" section)*

Other Thoughts: I contacted Newegg about the damaged product and they said they could send me a whole new product, but not just the front panel. The reasoning for just wanting the front panel replaced was because I had already setup my PC in the new case. Newegg informed me to contact Corsair directly, so I did. I heard back from them in a couples days and they required my invoice from Newegg as well as the lot code for the product.

They shipped me a new panel as priority mail and I received it in just 2 days! Corsair also said that I didn't need to return my original dented piece. Awesome customer service. I will be purchasing more products from Corsair down the road.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is a fantastic, sturdy case. I bought my 1st one back in 2012 when I was looking for a plain, sturdy, mid-tower without all the silly plastic in a lot of cases on the market. I was hooked on it's aesthetics at first, but found it to be a extremely well constructed and roomy enclosure.
-It's almost completely metal
-has almost no plastic in the build
-room for 2 240 mm water cooling radiators or 9 fans if you use fan splitters. (2 on Evo Radiator, 2 top, 4 drive bay,1 back of case.)
-2 heavy metal carrying handles on top for ease of transport
-Well thought out drive bay.arrangement
-Excellent cable management options
-air filter on bottom of case
-lots of ventilation
-no sharp edges.
-Simple sleek appearance with a military theme
-inexpensive

Cons: -Even though it is bigger than your average mid-tower, it doesn't have the room necessary for a completely custom water build.

Other Thoughts: I loved this so much, that this is now my main case for my own builds, as well as for those PCs I build for friends. I've replaced two aluminum Ling cases with these puppies and I am very satisfied with them.

If you look for a clean, sturdy, and functional case I would highly recommend this case. I've bought 6 of them so far. (not all from the egg) You won't be dissapointed

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Excellent ventilation routes. bottom up with filters
Support for H100i or similar type liquid cooling, bolt up and go
Very clean look and feel, including internal organization
TONS of room, you can use both HD cages with the largest video cards available (Using 980Ti lightning no issues)
Reset button covered by no-go door, useful for those who accidentally hit the reset button
Handles make life much easier
Case has steel risers for feet
Pre-installed ATX spacers

Cons: No filter or blocking for front ventilation, should be an option
Steel risers are fairly weak, thing gauge steel. one of mine was a little bent when it got here, bent it back by hand.

3 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN UPDATED. SEE THE REFRESHED CON SECTION TO LEARN MORE.

I'VE NOW DROPPED IT TO THREE EGGS FROM FIVE.

METAL. You just won't believe how metal this thing is... The only polymers present are in the filters, the window, and common electronics.

Easy to use. The seemingly superfluous handles and panel clamps prove incredibly useful in everyday life.

High quality. Everything is carefully built and arranged, right down to the switches and front panel connections.

Loads of cooling options right off the rack. It will hold twin H100s and an H80, all in push-pull configuration, which means component liquid cooling enthusiast are well catered for.

Every logical intake location, including the entire bottom of the case, is filtered and easy to clean.

Good balance of weight and solidity.

Plenty of cable management options, including ingenious cable traps behind the motherboard tray that will secure the bundles you actually encounter in the real world.

Any idiot can pull off a clean build in this thing.

Cons: SECOND PURCHASE EDIT:

The next unit I bought a year or two later has been a different experience.

1: The quality of the stampings is not as high, and the metal feels a bit more flimsy.

2: The latches do not feel as if they are aligned properly, and one was partially unattached upon receipt.

3: The motherboard stand-offs were not aligned properly, and at extreme were vertically were over 1/4" out of specification.

4: The case itself seems a bit warped here and there.

The quality has dropped dramatically. While my first purchase produced a convenient, if not perfect "everyday builder's case", the second produced severe annoyance.

One thing I've noticed after using a C70 this long is the poor fan mount design. The holes are drilled over size so rubber grommets can be fitted for vibration reduction. While that seems like a good idea, in practice it is not. The grommets begin to fall out over time, and I ended up having to use metal washers to affix fans in various places.

Fan vibration issues can be prevented with quality fans, or simply using rubber washers. Grommets are a terrible idea. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't used asymmetrical grommets. Step one after buying this is to hit the hardware store and get something that won't fall out when you change a component later.

Also, while potentially useful, the over-sized intake and exhaust grills don't do forced air any services. There isn't a radiator on the market that will cover them entirely, so they should be more appropriately sized for controlled airflow.

I'll update this further as I consider new points.

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL REVIEW

I'm picking nits, but the twin bottom panel filters slide out a little too easily. Some form of snap-fit or a tighter slide would be nice. This is an issue almost not worth mentioning.

Some might not like the factory drilled window. It's nice to have the fan option, but few will use it, and the mounts spoil the looks a bit. Still, it looks FAR better than you might think, once seen in person. The people who really care are going to change it out for aftermarket acrylic anyway.

Cable routing space is perhaps not quite as good as some other Corsair offerings, but it's still light-years ahead of any competition.

Other Thoughts: You can't tell in the pictures, but the power switch features edge and front illumination in a soft, elegant white. Indeed, the entire case is surprisingly elegant, given it's style.

I ought to know. I've got a shop full of a certain Taiwanese brand's all-aluminum cases, so I really appreciate subtlety. The C70 does not look cartoonish in such company. It fits right in, in a slightly more utilitarian manner.

In person, it's beautiful, easy to use, high quality, and somehow manages to avoid visually dominating an entire room. You'd be hard-pressed to find any offense in this case.

Again, this thing is METAL... :) If you think you might like it, it's certainly worth the purchase. I bought it as a test bench, due to it's ease of use...

...But I ended up using it as the case for my main PC. Time to order another.

5 out of 5 eggsOustanding Case

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Tons of Room
High Quality Construction
Easy Opening Latches
Well laid out
Three fans and all whisper quiet
Handles are a great touch

Cons: Clips holding on front face are weak. A slight bump will pop the cover off. Minor issue but it happens.

Other Thoughts: The case looks tough and the build quality is every bit as good as the unit looks. I went with black, rather than the green, and it still looks tough. Plenty of room for all my gear. I build a really nice gaming rig and this place was a great place to start. I've been very happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I have build many desktop computers so far but this case is by far the best i have used. If you want to build a gaming computer, this case have lots of space for additional or upgrades. Whats nice about this case is possibility of using a corsair H100i or GTX cooler.

Cons: None right now as i am testing to see how cool this case with all the 240mm fans are.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid
Handles
Airflow
Cable Management
Modular - Easily Customized
Looks Awesome
Affordable
Lots of space

Cons: Heavy
Big

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my new workstation. If you're going for a super practical, robust, solid solution with a bit of a mad-scientist vibe, this is it. The real hero here is the cable management, but the handles and the latches for the side panels are also a really incredible innovation. All the bays are removable, so you can customize. Everything is made of steel, so as you're building you really feel like you're working on something permanent, and aren't just throwing money into electronics but are investing in serious equipment. Some mac people might look down on the DIY, diesel-punk style, but that's not you, otherwise you wouldn't be looking at this product.

4 out of 5 eggsVengeance is DELICIOUS!

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Beautiful Design - perfect combination of purposeful design & simplicity.
-Lots of fan setup choices, comes with 3 fans
-Filter on bottom to prevent dust pickup.
-Easily & quickly open sides w/ latches.
-Cable Management was extremely well thought out.
-Plenty of room for large video cards
-All hard drives cleanly mount with the cables routing directly into the back compartment.
-Handles for transporting (doesn't just look like an ammo-box, another example of purposeful design)

Cons: Hideous fan mounts on the side glass. You CAN buy a plain plexi replacement from a 3rd party if you look hard enough. No one wants to spend thousands on color matching components only to have your view blocked by unnecessary obstruction.

Filter mounts are only included for the bottom. What about the top where 90% of dust settles? oh, you can buy a filter kit that costs almost as much as the case... no thanks. I'll build my own, can't be that difficult.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this case for gamers who still want a simple clean look. The cable management and over all design is a work of art.

5 out of 5 eggsA truely outstanding case.

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Everything they say about this case is true. They even supplied a cable to make the front panel USB 3.0 input / outputs backward compatible to older 2.0 boards.

Cons: It's a heavy steel case, but I personally think that's a positive.

Other Thoughts: I was so pleased with this case that I am ordering a second one.
