4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: -Excellent air flow and cooling
-Excellent cable management- hides pretty much all of the cables running around, plenty of space to do so.
-USB 3.0 ports on the front- good for plugging in that external drive.
-Conveniently-placed front ports & fan controls
-Three-speed fan and light controls.
-Separate fan and light controls allow you to turn off the lights when the fans are running
-Comes with lots of fans that you don't have to purchase separately
-Fans are very quiet- hardly noticeable, even at full speed.
-Fans have dust filters
-Case thumb screws make opening and closing the case a breeze
-Sleek, good looking design- doesn't look like a huge black box like my old case.
-Good quality metal with nice paint. Edges are all rounded, so nothing sharp. Feels high quality in general.
-Designed to accommodate a big radiator at the top.
-Bottom placement of power supply makes it more sturdy and convenient to install.
-Power supply can be mounted in either direction- air can blow into or out of the case.
-Tool-less drive installation (for the most part, see con below)
-Plenty of space for anything you could want in your computer- you won't be struggling to install anything.

Cons: -No external 3.5" bays for card readers or fan controllers (I required an adapter to use my 3.5" multi-card reader)
-The biggest intake fan on the system doesn't have a dust filter, defeating the purpose of all of the other filters (which is why I knock an egg off).
-2.5" SSD install requires screws to hold drives in place (not totally tool-less or convenient).

Other Thoughts: This case was a huge upgrade over my previous one, which I thought was awesome. Cable management, excellent cooling, and sleek looks won me over and it didn't fail to deliver anything else. The pros vastly outweigh the few cons. This is an excellent computer case, would recommend to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful, masterful case, easy to build

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: LEDs, airflow, space, cable management, accessories

Cons: Hmm

Other Thoughts: I built a PC in this case 2 1/2 years ago. It was a very easy case to build within due to ample room, and the case kept my components clean and organized, while maintaining a simple beauty due to adequate placement of LEDs and windows. Lightweight. Cable and HDD management very well designed. Plenty of room to expand. I added a Corsair fan to the top to add to the already good airflow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: Great cable management
Sturdy
Quiet
120mm fans can be changed to 140mm
Looks great

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The fan controller in the case has a 4 pin molex connector and my psu didnt have a molex connector on it. Luckily my local micro center had an adapter that worked for me. If your psu does not have an available moxel plug i suggest buying this with the case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816038&cm_re=sata_male_to_molex_female-_-12-816-038-_-Product

5 out of 5 eggsStormtrooper case = boss

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: This is a really good looking case IMO. That's a pretty important factor when I'm selecting a case. But on top of that, there are many great practical and functional features.

Quick pull-out and snap-in hard drive and DVD bay slots mean the only screws I had to use were for the power supply and the SSD because it's so tiny. Oh and the motherboard naturally. Also, there is room for about three computers worth of hard drives and DVD players. All the extra space is nice actually as it leaves a lot of room for air flow.

Filters on the front and bottom of the case where air is taken in mean a clean and cool inside. This alone made me jump from buying a $60-80 case to this one. Time will tell that it was worth it I am sure.

Air flow. The helicopter blade on the side of this thing moves a lot of air. And overall this case is very quiet.

Wire and cable holes mean a neat appearance. This is a great feature. Take advantage of it!

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: Roomy, easy cable management, plenty of included fans, not flimsy, built with the idea you're gonna put the h100i in it. I like the toggle switch for the LEDs on the included fans. Very handy when I need to download something overnight and don't need the light to obstruct my sleep. You can either manually control the fans with the switch, or let the software control it. The Corsair software is actually really nice especially if you buy the h100i. Plenty of dust shields. Everything has a dust shield.

Cons: Not very portable.... actually not portable at all. There's really no way to continually move this machine around. I'm thankful I didn't buy this case a few years ago, as this review would be missing a few eggs. I have no need to move it around, but buyer beware. NOT PORTABLE - THINGS WILL BREAK.

Other Thoughts: Under a full load, of course combined with corsair's h100i liquid cooling, CPU never gets hotter than 45C with 74F ambient temp. GPU (GTX 960) doesn't get close to 70C, but will sit at 60C while playing GTA 5. Mind you, both are overclocked. The case was well designed and it was a pleasure building everything. The air movement with included fans is very satisfactory and I don't have any complaints about them, as others have.

5 out of 5 eggsH100i Compatible

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: Perfect size,Great cooling included, if you want a case to support your H100i with no qualms at all, this is the case for you!!
Its striking color combo [artic/white], is absolutely amazing with the naked eye!..Keeps all components nice and cool, with the provided fans,it also has the switch to shut off the lighting if you choose..Great case, and be sure not to pinch the wires in the side-case when doing cable management ..Could be the big cause of all the rant on the inter-webs about "fires" caused from this!!...Enjoy the case its wonderful!

Cons: 200mm side fan isn't switchable to blow out ,instead of in,but not a big deal..

Other Thoughts: Great case for a I7 4770K {OC}TO 4.6/ H100i on top ,plenty of room for expansion, but no one knows why the fire-wire port? Would have liked an extra USB myself..Don't hesitate BUY!

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: -Lots of room/air flow.
-Simplistic installation
-Excellent additional built in fans

Cons: -The instruction manuel, like many people have said, is very poor. Had to look up more details about the gadgets that come with the case on my phone. Not enough to get a 4/5 though.

Other Thoughts: Great for my first build, not at all disappointed with performance or cosmetics

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: I had been doing a case swap to install all of my hardware from my old case (Antec Skeleton ) into this new one and It was a breeze! Very spacious too. I was able to fit all of my extra fans into the extra mounts. Everything stay cool and looks cool at the same time! Haha. The Harddrive trays are great too.

Cons: What is a Con? In this case that isn't even in my vocabulary.
