4 out of 5 eggsGreat case, few flaws

Pros: * It's on the larger side for a Mid Tower.
* Having bought many cases , I feel like this case is of higher quality
* Mesh air filter on top is removable for easy cleaning of dust.
* LEDs on front are white; keeps with case theme
* Came with USB 3.0 to 2.0 converter
* Has a front panel firewire port
* All fans connect to fan controller for front of case control
* Hard drive bays do not require screws. They simply snap to the sides and you slide the tray back in.
* Holes in case allow for cables to be threaded to the back for easy cable management.
Plenty of room for big graphics cards and heatsinks etc.
* Many drive bays

Cons: * Slightly expensive IMO
* The side panel on mine leaves a small sliver after being closed and drives my OCD nuts. It covers about 98% of the area it needs to. Hard to explain, but it doesn't fit 100%.
* 2 of the standoff screw locations were basically stripped. Cost me time to ensure that the board would be be sturdy. My board needed 9 standoffs and 6 were already on the case upon opening. Of those 3 remaining, 2 were extremely difficult to get tight.
* Side panel case screws are of very poor quality. They were stripped upon arrival. Every time I take off the side panel it takes me 5 minutes of messing with them to get them in again.
* Screws/Standoffs were really cheap and the factory cuts made them hard to screw in in general.

Other Thoughts: I'm satisfied with the case but the flimsy screws made my experience slightly irritating and created more work for me. The fan controller is a nice touch I missed that when I bought it.

I like that the LEDs arent bright blue as many cases are.

The case is closer to being a full tower than a Mid Tower; which is fine with me.
I have an AMD R9 280 Sapphire in it along with a Noctua NH-D14 so it has plenty of clearance for various big cards and heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case

Pros: I got this case last christmas to build my rig and I love it. It has a ton of cooling power and looks great. I really like the white case with blue LED fans. You also don't have to worry about dust in your machine, because this thing's dust filters are amazing. It has a slide-out one on the bottom of the case which is nice, and the filter for the front and side fans are built in.

Cons: Absolutely none

Other Thoughts: Great Case, I would recommend

5 out of 5 eggsOUTSTANDING CASE

Pros: Great looks, plenty of room, and very good cooling.

Cons: Wasn't free??

Other Thoughts: This case is great looking, has TONS of room inside, and also provides excellent cooling. I love how the top bay is made for the Corsair H100 cooling system. It fits perfectly, and allows you to cool your CPU with an integrated water cooling solution while still having excellent capacity inside the case.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks good

Pros: Very clean looking case
Very open which makes for good cooling.
The white LED fans look nice.
Easy cable management

Cons: Biggest complaint is that one of the screws for the side panel is striped already after removing it a handful of times. It won't tighten at all, but I'm not going to rip everything out to RMA because that'd be a pain. Also, the case is a little cramped with full size video cards. Would not recommend for SLI/Crossfire.

2 out of 5 eggsSecond 500R to stop working

Pros: - Plenty of room
- Great cable management
- Removable trays

Cons: I've purchased several of these cases for the office and this is the second time that the case has randomly stopped working on us. The front controller cables stopped working out of no where, causing the side fan to stop working and putting heat on our very expensive parts. The first case this happened to I chalked it up to just random luck, but after the second time I just had to write this review to warn other prospective buyers.

I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because besides the (very serious) front cable issue, the cases that are still working are great. Unfortunately when our office is paying this much for the cases, I need something more reliable.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry to hear that you're having troubles with the 500R. Please give us a call at 888-222-4346 and we'll be more than happy to replace the fan controller for you.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this now.

Pros: Cavernous. I mean it, this thing has space on top of space. Removable cages with just 3 screws adds even more space. Tooless installation of drives works like a charm. Cable management is amazing. Even the longest video cards will fit with space to spare. Standouts for mobo are preinstalled, with extras for those pesky 10 peg boards. Zip ties included, as well as several types of screws for installing all manner of components. The LEDs and fans are top notch, silent, and efficient. 2 120mm, 1 140mm, and a 200mm are included, as well as speed controls and LED on/off. Amazing case and then some.

Cons: None that I've found. 8350 stays nice and cool at 28 degrees with included case fans and Cooler Master Hyper 212.

Other Thoughts: Corsair outdid themselves with this one. The price is awesome, and the potential and possibilities are limited by your imagination and budget. You will not regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsA pleasure to work with.

Pros: This case has so much space for a mid-ATX tower. I was able to put in a 12 inch graphics card (Sapphire R9 290) and didn't even have to remove a drive bay cage.

The tool-less drive bays and pre-installed standoffs were incredibly helpful. it made building in it much quicker and easier.

The huge 200m side case fan is a great free add-on. The extra cooling is fantastic. There is even room on the top for two more 120 mm fans or a radiator! Cooling will not be problem with this case.

The general athestics of the case are fantastic. They are understated but still look sharp. This is especially cool with the LEDs turned on.

Cons: I am unsure if my case fan controller switch is working but it's a pretty minor oversight.

Other Thoughts: I think this is the perfect case to work with on your first time build. It was incredibly easy to work with as a first time builder.

4 out of 5 eggsNear Perfect

Pros: -Good looks
-Lots of space for cable management thanks to bulge on the side
-Extra space up top for a radiator
-Tons of fan mount positions (2 more can be mounted on the HDD bay)

Cons: -Proprietary fan connectors. The fan controller does not connect to fans using a standard 3-prong plug. Instead, Corsair has made their own supposedly because of the lighting features in the controller. This makes the fans impossible to replace without some hacking or using molex connections
-Fan mounts on HDD cage interfere with the bottom mount. This could have been fixed by moving one of the mounts over a few millimeters.

Other Thoughts: The fan connectors have annoyed me for quite some time, as the provided fans are fairly sub-par. It is easily worth one egg deduction, if not more because these proprietary connectors are NOT advertised.
