5 out of 5 eggsOwned for 1 year

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: I bought this case because i wanted something different. The case itself looks pretty out there but i think it works perfectly. there is alot of space. i took out the top fan and put in a h100i. i love this case.

Cons: this case has a few problems. the handle feels shakey but being the son of divorced parents it held the weight of my pc moving from house to house to lan parties and wherever else i want to go. another thing would probably be the exhaust fan in the back kinda made it difficult to run cords by it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot holding up

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: The head phone holder, HDD bays and air filters.

Cons: The wiring areas gap is too small, was hard getting the wiring all right. The space from the side door fan to the GPU is small, so for GPU's that have a top power the power cables can hit the fan vents.

Air flow is bad, like really bad... The fans out the box are in my other review of this they hit like 122CFM, But the flow is not great. Also that being said replacing those fans does not seem to be easy. For the pricing of this case. It is not holding up to the cost to benefit for me. Also if you want to mount a h100i to it, you only really have one option.

2 out of 5 eggsColorShift Fans

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: Great Case with Cable management and plenty of room. Bigger Case than I expected

Cons: Colorshift Fans start making noise in just a few months, Thermaltake ignoring my emails and requests for replacement Fans. I would just buy one to replace the noisy one but cannot find them online

Other Thoughts: Parts should be easier to find 5 months old and already making noise.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade, lots of room

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: - Lots of room, fans and connection options.
-Lots of available connections for USB 2 and 3
Lots of rooms for drives. Used SSD and no need for adapter

Cons: - The HDD/SSD hot swap. I removed the plate to use regular sata connections. Based on reviews, this is buggy. Would be good if you were able to use the connection with it in place
- Wished the 3.5 slot was a 5.25. Used a multi card reader, but if you have no use for it, it is a waste of space
- Needed extra mobo screws

Other Thoughts: Second case from thermaltake and I am not dissapointed.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost 5 eggs

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: The case is not as heavy as I had thought it would be, the HDD bays are a very nice feature. The stoke fans are good one TT1425 140mm 50CFM fan and 3 TT 2030 at 123CFM. The look of the case is good and lost of nice extras.

Cons: Ok so here is how a GREAT case in idea becomes a good case.... The wiring side panel is a bit close, it should pop out 5 to 10mm more. Also the fan mounting slots are an issue, the H100i does fit for the top but you can only mount it in a push, not a pull or push pull. Also mounting more then one 240mm radiator is an issue (yes I know why would you want to do that, think HG10A's for my 770's) Also the window is a bit small in most peoples taste, for me that is not a big deal.

So cable management is so so and the fan mounting areas are not the best in the world.

Other Thoughts: Good case overall I would not say the plug and play HDD slots are really worth the pricing point.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build...perfect !

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case, excellent design, new revision.

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: *USB 3.0 WITH HEADER CABLE! Mine was a new revision that came with header cable instead of pass-through.
*ABILITY TO TURN OFF THE CASE LEDs (so you can sleep without being annoyed by the blue LEDs)
*Change LED colors
*Lock, useful for LAN parties
*Fan control
*Lots of USB ports on the front panel
*Hot-swappable hard drives** (read later)
*LOTS of space for a decent cable management, especially when you've never managed cables before on a rig!
*Optical drive bays with locking rail (so your screwdriver ability only needs to be used on the motherboard and HDD areas, even though the use of the rail is optional)
*Dust filters included (because carpets aren't friends of our rigs!)
*Black metal on the inside and out
*Window

Cons: *Box isn't the same as the last revision
*No carrying bag included as the last revision
*The handle on the case feels like it's gonna break should the total weight exceed 60 pounds or so (not proven, but it FEELS weak!)
*Despite being able to turn off and change all fans LED colors, the ANNOYING BLUE LED on the power button can't be turned off!
*The hard drive hot-swappable feature doesn't work very well, it seems like they worked on it again, but until I took off the plate with SATA connectors and power connectors pre-installed for hot swap, and hooked my SSD manually on my motherboard, it wouldn't work at all. I don't know if my SSD takes more power than it should or if this part of the case arrived dead, either way, no biggie, except if you want to show off the hot swapping cages being removed and placed back on the case.
*Rear fan has to be removed to install a motherboard with no big problems. Not a big con, as neither of these are, but it wastes a little extra time when building a rig.

Other Thoughts: It's a HUGE case, but it offers a lot of space and runs quiet all the time. LEDs that change colors to match your rig theme are a big plus, but I wish they had a switch or a setting to choose the starting LED color, as every time it starts with the blue color. I bet you can change it if you're willing, but it's not something an average Joe Gamer is able to do quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: Looks, Plenty of wire manage space, hot swop drive bays, big cooling fans.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There are those that are saying it's sata back plain is not sata 3 and also say they are a high tech level, they are wrong sata 1,2,3 all use the same data cable, so it makes no referents what drive you plug in.

3 out of 5 eggsSolid Case, SATA bus is Poor.

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: Plenty of room, quiet stock fans, easy to remove bay slots, good room in the back for cable management.

Was able to fit a 270mm XSPC Reservoir, pump, 420mm radiator and cpu/gpu blocks with room to spair.

Cons: The biggest: The SATA bus. More in Other Thoughts.

Others: wish the rest of the front pannel USB were all 3.0, no auto adjustable program into the stock fan controller, locking key can be kind of weird sometimes.

Other Thoughts: If you read any of the other reviews, it is apparent that the SATA bus has a high chance of going bad. Mine was DOA. Now, normally I don't condone poor rating based off a DOA, but this volume of people is kind of ridiculous. Not to mention that I over-looked that it only does SATA 2 which bottlenecks my SSD. I imagine RMA-ing this single piece is not possible and to have to send an entire case back that has been liquid cooled now just for the SATA bus is dumb. So, you can just unscrew the 6 screws on the back of the adapter that holds the SATA bus and just directly hard-wire it.

For most this isn't a big deal but it was one of the key features about this case that made me choose it over other candidates. For a case this expensive, even on sale, I would hold it to a certain standard that the price point hopes to deliver.

1 out of 5 eggsLevel 10 GT, avoid it.

This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black Steel SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans-1x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift top fan, 1x 200mm Colorshift front fan and 1x 140mm rear fan

Pros: The lights are cool.
The amount of fans is nice.(too bad I'm down one)
The easily removable side door is nice.
head set holder.
I got it on sale?

Cons: -The top fan has a wobble to it, producing noise.
-The front fan, when I first turned it on made a loud sound and shut itself off(probably to protect itself from being destroyed). Come to find out that the front fan can't even work with the front panel fitted completely, as it causes the fan to knock into the back housing of the fan.
-Hot swap bays are SATA2, not SATA3. Wish I would have known that before I purchased this case. SSDs face a significant downgrade in performance in this environment.
-A lot of wiring room is taken up by TT's very poor prewiring
-Had to redo the wiring because the side panel was jarred due to said wiring

Other Thoughts: The bright side, I think I found a replacement for my top fan since the front fan can't function as intended! That really is some nice forward thinking by Thermaltake, I'll give'em that.

Maybe I got unlucky and got a cheap knockoff, but this kind of stuff is inexcusable. Especially when they name dropped BMW to sell this case.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We at Thermaltake would like to thank you for your review of our Level 10 GT case.

Regarding the issues you were having. It seems the top fan had a bearing issue, which is causing the noise. Unless it wasn't screwed down all the way.
Please check the front filter to make sure it is secured to the front panel. I may have unlatched slightly during shipping, which is causing the contact.
If they persist, we can have the components that are having issues with replaced through warranty.

Also, only the limited edition Level 10's were designed in collaboration with BMW.

Please contact customer service to receive RMA Directions warranty information.
