Antec VSK-2000 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I bought this case for my first serious gaming build. I love the very simplistic design. I added 2 120mm intake fans in the front and the air flow is great. I'm able to keep the fans on low and have no problems with heat.
The cable management was very convenient and neat if you plan it out.
Plenty of hard drive space.

Cons: The only thing about this case that I don't like is the front audio cables for the mobo were way too short, but I was able to solve that with a $4.00 extension.

Other Thoughts: Great case for the price!

Pros: - Lots of drive bays
- 3 120MM fan slots (not really indicated in the description)
- Very sturdy metal construction

Cons: - The two fan slots in front are essentially cheap plastic, but this shouldn't matter because changing them out is likely a rare occurence anyway

- No filter on the side air vent so the case will get caked with dust unless it's colocated/in a datacenter

I don't consider either of these particularly significant as they don't hinder the case's operation in any way.

Other Thoughts: I have 2 of these cases; both are used in servers. I'll likely get another if I need another tower build.

You really can't go wrong with this case, whether it be for a server, gaming rig, or just a casual desktop.

Pros: Bought several of these for entry level server builds. Great case for up to five hard drives. Great cooling options. Feels solid and looks serious.

Cons: Larger than most mid-towers. Not necessarily a bad thing, but there's quite a few desks this tower won't fit under or inside of.

Other Thoughts: I'll keep on buying these as long as they are available.

Pros: Simple straight forward design. Easy install.

Cons: I was going to give this case 5 eggs until i tried to put a 120mm fan on the side panel.

The opening seems exactly the size for a 120mm fan but the holes are not large enough for standard screws.

Also, the alignment of the holes might be slightly off. I find this to be unfortunately cheap. It would've cost Antec a literal penny to get this right.

After reviewing the "overview" of this case i noticed the "side vents for efficient ventilation".

Other minor complaints are the audio cable being short & the fan it comes with being 4 pin molex.

I used an SSD for this build but decided against using the bottom panel option because i'm just not sold on that setup. Used the standard 3.5 to 2.5 tray in a bay instead.

All in all this is a great case but could've just as easily went with a Rosewill for the same price & had the ability to have 120' front+back+side fans.

Pros: I have bought or recommended at least 5 of these for workstation computers. They're spacious and quiet and *very* light. Great for carrying around the office to setup at people's computers.

Huge vents mean even if they get dusty they keep cooling.

Cons: It doesn't make sandwiches.

Pros: Plenty of expansion slots and decent cooling potential. It's large for a mid-tower case, but it's great for a media-server role. Great price for what you receive.

Cons: Some sharp edges around the PSU mounting. UPS manhandled the shipping so there was a large dent in the top when it arrived. Not worth it to send it back as it will just be sitting in a corner.

Pros: There simply isn't a better case in this price bracket, at all.

Cons: Two issues.

1) This case didn't come with a case speaker, kinda important guys.

2) the case no longer ships as pictured. The LARGE cutout for the HSF backing plate is gone, however you do get cable routing holes and a 2.5" HDD\SDD mounting point at the bottom of the case. Acceptable trade-offs for me, but get the pictures updated Newegg, seriously.

Cons: As stated many many times the front USB and audio connectors for the MOBO are like 6"+ too short -see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: bought this case 2 builds back. have since cut 2 holes in the side for a 140mm intake (on SLI 460s) and 120mm exhaust above that. also drilled vent for top 120mm exhaust. its a nice little case for modifications cause you dont have to feel guilty about modifying it haha. long since abandoned the fron USB ports, bought a ASrock extreme 4 and has its own 3.0 3.5" front bay so that works for me, and dont use the front audio anyways. the 2 front 120mm fants are perfect also, i just dremelled out the grate that covers the fans so they are quieter and worked great. i would only recommend this case if its on sale and you dont mind the short USB/Audio connections :D. but it fits 3 cav. Blues and 2 460s in SLI with the right spacing so its a nice little case

Pros: Good case and very light weight. I also had no problem installing the hardware. (motherboard, power supply, harddrive, etc.)

Other Thoughts: I don't really like that the harddrives mount in the front but the drive does not make enough noise for it to be an issue. Could be a problem with a louder drive though.

Pros: This is a very nice roomy case for those that want a top mounted psu. I did and so I bought two of these since christmas. I like the dust filter. Doesn't come with a front fan, but I have some lying around so I put a 120mm in and it's blowing right at the vid card and lower part of hard drive. If you need to tack on a couple of fans to the price of this case, look at the illusion before you buy this. I love that case to and it comes with four fans for 5 dollars more on sale, but it's a bottom mounted psu case. I won't dock an egg for a single fan, I knew it only came with one and that one is adjustable 3 ways. I will however dock an egg for........

Cons: The front hd audio cable lenth.When motherboard makers start to put the hd audio input next to the cpu, then this will work fine, but they don't and never have. I can get the analog connector to connect, but the hd comes up way short and the analog had to be routed under the front of the vid card. If you include front audio cables with a case, please make them long enough to reach. If you have a sound card, never mind. It might reach on a micro board, but not on a full atx board and even then it will sit across the top of the cpu fan or there abouts. I can tie it up off the board though.

Other Thoughts: I used this case in two instances where I wanted a top mounted psu verses the bottom for the simple reason I didn't want to worry about cable length and cable management. I made two average builds with this psu, N82E16817153023, and since the cables on this psu are few and the length on them isn't great, this case is perfect for it and hiding the extra cables away from airflow simple. I was lucky both the case and psu were on sale, but in a pinch I could pay full price for this case, but won't if I can find a different a case becuz of front hd audio cable being so short and one fan. If Antec would fix this, then this is the perfect case for under 50 bucks. Came undamaged. I bought it again due to the sale and will again if it goes down to 40 bucks f/shipping. I personally don't care wether or not I use the front audio, but some do.
