Build your next home theater PC with the sleek MicroFusion. This micro-ATX and mini-ITX media center is a beautiful enclosure with a minimalist style and compact dimensions. The contemporary brushed silver and black metal finish will look great with any entertainment center and the small footprint means you can place it almost anywhere.
The MicroFusion offers an innovative dual-chamber design to prevent components from sharing heat. Large 80mm fans are mounted on the sides to quietly create an even air flow inside the case and keep your system cool. Each fan can spin at three different speeds to match your viewing demands. For your convenience, the internal drive bays come with a drive cage for easy installation. Also, the rear panel provides four expansion slots for all of your media peripherals.
The front panel display features an IR receiver and LCD that works with media center applications. The receiver is compatible with Windows Media Center and Vista. Finally, the Silver Fusion also comes with a petite remote control and iMEDIAN HD by iMON software to help you manage your media. Your next home theater PC is waiting for you. Build it today with the Antec MicroFusion!

Great little case
- Pros: This case is great looking. This is one of the few cases on here that is actually the right size to fit in with the rest of your typical home theater equipment. This is a low profile case so for graphics you want to get a good solid motherboard. The LCD is cool and the little remote isn't half bad either...
The Case has great air flow and is easy to organize the wires- good internal layout etc.
The remote wiring inside the case allows the PC to be turned off AND ON via the remote.
- Cons: The motherboard is a tight fit but doable... The LCD is a cheap-o so be careful when removing it (need to remove to pull out HD cage).
- Other Thoughts: AMD Anthelon 64 X2 2.66, 640 GB Hitachi, 2GB DDR2 800, Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H Mobo, LiteOn DVD-ROM.
This is a Boxee/Hulu Desktop rig. It handles the job just great.
Tight fit, looks great but lacks polish
- Pros: Clean look. Doesn't have tons of unnecessary extra ports or lights on the front. LCD looks sharp. Optical drive cage slides in and out.
- Cons: Tight fit for Micro ATX board. Fitting in with the I/O fascia was a bit nerve-racking. Includes only two wire ties for cable management and could use more, or at least better placed. Hard drive bay is secured with a thumb screw AND a regular screw... annoying to remove. LCD turns on full brightness at boot, no way to turn it off other than unhooking it.
- Other Thoughts: While the case looks great externally, the interior was lacking polish from a design standpoint. Some extra room to slide in the board would have been nice. The optical drive bay hangs over the board a bit, which isn't a problem for my particular usage but could be an issue if I had IDE drives present. There is a lot of wiring as Antec uses Molex connectors for each fan -- three extra Molex connectors I could have done without. Each fan has a switch for low, medium or high speed (RPM in the manual) but no way to change it without opening the case back up. Fan control would have been nice on the back or side.

Major Disapointment
- Pros: Good price. Bought with a newegg combo which built a HTPC. Looks like any other piece of A/V equipment in a living room setting. Quiet. Low power consumption from earthwatts 350 power supply.
- Cons: The LCD screen is pretty much a waste of time if you manage to not break it (other reviews seemed to have problems with that, I did not). I just disconnected it so it wasn't drawing power all the time. The lid that covers where the optical drive tray comes out doesn't fit snuggly when the drive closes so you have to push it shut yourself.
- Other Thoughts: The power button is broken on the case I received. I connected the reset button to the MB where the power button is supposed to connect so that I didn't have to RMA a case after putting everything together and already waiting for an RMA'd cpu (thats another story). Seriously a power button is 2 wires and a mechanism to connect a circuit I don't know how I got one that doesn't work other than awful quality assurance before a product ships.
If the power button worked, I would have given 4 out of 5.
NOTE: Remember this is a mico-ATX case. You need to plan accordingly when setting this up and will most likely need to remove the LCD to put the hard drive in and remove at least 1 of the built in fans to fit your optical drive in. Working with a micro-ATX is a clinic in patience.
Beautiful, Disappointing Garbage
- Pros: Nice looking case. Beautiful Garbage.
- Cons: This case is an utter disappointment, especially from an Antec product. I am a seasoned builder and IT professional and I have never had such grief from a product from a respected manufacturer. The LCD panel was never affixed to its mount and flopped all over and I needed to tape it back into position. Within a week the LCD backlight stayed on permanently regardless of whether the computer was powered up or not. Presently, the LCD backlight just glares and the panel is useless. This is either due to the LCD itself and/or the proprietary power feed from the power supply. Unacceptable - this is going in for recycling after the hammer is done with it. Thanks for wasting my money Antec. Life and funds are too limited to be dealing with an over-engineered piece of garbage such as this. Send this to your Antec rep, Newegg.
- Other Thoughts: K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid
I should have listened to that adage that I have kept to for so long. Proprietary units like the iMon system has been grief in all of the HTPCs that I have built. It all looks nice but either fails in the end or just fails to impress. Manufacturers out there - DO IT RIGHT OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL.
junk
- Pros: none. Arrived DOA, new egg has zero response. We just have to eat this pile of junk!
- Cons: yes, it is a con!
- Other Thoughts: Just a disgrace!
