5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice, simple design.
No LED fans.
Great air flow.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice case. Plenty of room for my gaming system. If you have lots of drives or a number of PCI cards, it could get a little cramped. It has a spot on the bottom of the case for mounting an SSD, but with a bottom mount power supply extra cables can end up laying on it. That won't keep the drive from working, but if you have mild OCD like I do, it may be worth getting an adapter and mounting the SSD in one of the bays. Also the bottom mount puts the SSD about 1/8 inch above the case bottom. If your power supply cables sata connectors are perpendicular to the wires you have to give them a good bend to attach to the SSD. Some have complained that there's no air intake for the bottom mounted power supply. This is true. This allows the PSU to act as an exhaust fan for the case. Lets be honest, if your running your PSU that hot that you NEED an outside air supply, either it's under-sized and you're running it at full bore constantly or you're overclocking, at which point you should have known to look for a case with an outside vent. The case also comes with quite an assortment of screws, most of which I didn't use. Another reviewer mentioned that the motherboard mounting screws didn't tighten, but spun in the standoffs. He 'may' have tried to use the wrong ones ( I did). The motherboard screws are the hex head screws with the ridges on the underside to keep them from spinning back out.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal, Basic case

Pros: I selected this case because it is simple and without LEDs. I am NOT a gamer and it was listed as a gaming case .... I wanted adequate cooling and quiet. It has great cooling potential ... but see cons. Also it is roomy enough to be easy to work in.

Cons: I replaced the provided fans with Gelid Fans mounted with silicon rubber fasteners because of vibration at low speeds of the original fans. The vibration was a major problem ... temporary solution while waiting for the new fans was to keep an old hard drive on top of the case. The top 140 mm seemed to be the major Source.

Other Thoughts: I Like the case and would buy another ..... but I might opt for a higher end, sturdier case since the cost of the fans was about the cost of the case.

Build: Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 and AMD FX 6300, 16Gb Gskill RAM, 3 Gelid 120mm and 1 Gelid 140mm PWM fans. Idles 28-32C depending on room temp and and at max load stays in the lower 50s. I could drop in an FX 8350 and have adequate cooling.

2 out of 5 eggsLacking in Quality Control

Pros: This case was quite easy to use in a basic computer build.

Cons: Quality control is lacking with this case. The case is out-of-square. this leaves a small gap at the front bottom of the one side panel where it meets the front bezel. I expected better from Antec.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps this is a matter of, you get what you pay for. I know I have bought several Cooler Master cases for about 40.00 and they are quite superior in construction and quality.

It is unlikely that i would buy this case again.

3 out of 5 eggsmissing hardware?

Pros: This is a good, cheap case. I've used this case for multiple builds, and it gets the job done. No pointless LEDs (a plus in my opinion). Very cool. Lots of room for activities.

Cons: The last case I ordered was missing screws and other hardware. I triple checked, it was not in the box. The cased had QC stamped on it... So it makes me think twice about ordering another one.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: It's a rectangular box with great access. The side panels go on/off easily for dealing with internals.
Came with two fairly quiet case fans (my CPU fan drowns them both out) and spots for a side mount and front fan.
Front panel swivels off easily for access.
Best of all - great DIY case that doesn't make you look like a 13 year old WoW addict with lights and emblems all over it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Has updraft fan opening above the CPU. I'll be upgrading my system to a cross flow heat sink that should operate cooler/quieter.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooling and nice looks Antec 300 Case

Pros: Nice sleek looks and comes with 2 fans with 3 pins to connect to motherboard. Interior has plenty of room and places to hide wiring. It’s possible to have a very clean and customized look, but a couple of additional holes need to be created to better hide the wiring. The power supply is at the bottom, which gives room at the top for a top facing fan.

Cons: Wire and cable management could be slightly better, but it’s still good compared to many other cases.

Other Thoughts: This is my fourth Antec 300 case that I’ve purchased over the years and I’ve been satisfied with each purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsPower LED failure

Pros: I have been very satisfied with the Antec 300 case. This makes the 4th one that I have used for system builds.

Cons: The power LED failed within the first few hours of operation.

Other Thoughts: Antec Customer support went above and beyond on this case. I contacted them about the failed LED and they immediately sent me kit containing the LEDs, switches, wires, etc. It was refreshing to see a company stand behind their products like Antec did with this case. They certainly exceeded my expectations.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: The case was about $40 after a mail in rebate. It's an attractive case for that price point. The Antec fans that come with it are quiet and have 3 speeds. The front has an air filter.

Cons: Two things that made me mad when I was building a computer using this case was that the front panel wires (the usb and headphone jacks) that connect to the motherboard are not remotely long enough to try to hide them. They hang right in the middle of the case. They could easily be 6" longer, and it baffles me as to why they didn't make them longer.

Secondly, the case comes with zip ties. I am also an Antec 1200 owner, and Antec provides nice tie downs for wires. Zip ties would require being cut off after use... which is kind of dumb since you have power wires that shouldn't ever be put near a knife or scissors. The other Antec 1200 tie downs do not need to be cut to be released and are reusable. It was slightly maddening to think that they would cut a corner like this. A simple piece of plastic that probably costs them $.50 more to include? Really sad.

Other Thoughts: My cons are nit picking, but I do find it sad that Antec hasn't already thought of them. It would cost them a very small amount more per case and make it more user friendly.
