5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case / Upgrade

Pros: Used this case for my newest build because I had such a good experience with the Antec three hundred Illusion case. Antec will be my go to brand for cases from now on.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsMy Favorite

Pros: Great cooling, quiet fans and front ports that are not behind a door. This is my second Antec 900 updated for usb 3.0.

Cons: No front firewire port on the front, it's blanked off.

1 out of 5 eggsDid they fix the buzzing front head port audio?

Pros: I have 2 of these cases that I've used for pc builds. Wire management was good, lots of space and everything felt durable.

Cons: I'm not sure if this issue has been fixed but there is a feed back problem with the audio on the front header ports. For instance if you use a headset from there you'll constantly hear a buzzing going up and down as power draws. There's quite a few posts on the net with people more knowledgeable than me who have diagnosed the problem and fix via re-wiring & soldering.

Most disappointing is I requested a replacement header port a year ago (December 2013). I've traded emails with Antec support (tickets) where I've constantly been told the replacement parts are not in stock yet. But yet they continue to buld brand new cases so I suppose they are just blowing me off and have no intention of sending the replacements.

Other Thoughts: The run around on the replacement parts will have me looking elsewhere as I'm planning 2 new builds currently.

3 out of 5 eggsFabulous Case, but...

Pros: (Giving this a 3.5)...Outdated case. I've owned the Twelve Hundred for roughly 7 years, and the case (or tank as I like to call it)is bullet proof! Since I was no longer in need of a full size tower, I opted for it's small brother Nine Hundred.

The Nine hundred is still an extremely well made case, but it needs updates (see cons).

- Solid build quality. Still the tank I've grown to love
- Plenty of airflow, great for overclocking
- Adjustable fan speeds, though you have to access internally
- Easy machine to work/build with. Plenty of room for multiple monster video cards.

Cons: - Drive bays, solidly built, but still difficult to remove. Have to access both sides of the case.
- Front grilles are a PITA and must be removed, 2 screws on inside of case, to get to airfilter and drive bays. The Twelve Hundered just popped out.
- No SSD bays, still have to use the adapter.
- Little room on the back side of the case for cable management.
- Did not come with airfilters, had to use my Twelve's.

Other Thoughts: - Did not easily fit my CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Cooler. I was able to mount the radiator to the front intake fans without any cutting/welding/botching. Not a CON but just buyer beware.

Overall, the case is outstanding and will last me many years, this thing is still bullet proof. I hope that Antec releases an updated version to modernize this case. Would I recommend for others? Simple answer, yes, but I would caution them on some of it's flaws. 3.5 out of 5.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: Best cooling case on the planet, filters catch enough dust to roll it off like a carpet. Quite for being a wind tunnel! Looks sweet!! Has a gall darned trey on the top of it to set things on! My cat enjoys airing his but out on the huge top exhaust fan.

Cons: finnaly lost a front 120mm fan, wich is not bad for 3 years continuous duty. Spilled a huge cup of coffee right on the top exhaust fan yet there was somehow zero damage to anything? I'm assuming this aweseome fan slowed the spilling coffee down to zero G's and safely floated the droplets off to the side where they re engaged with earths gravity and fell safely to the floor.

Other Thoughts: this has been running 24/7 for 3 years, I believe this may be the pinnacle of full tower design. I use it as a nightlight, the huge spinning fan on top casts a gigantic shadow on my ceiling that is out of this world.

5 out of 5 eggsCase is Otherworldly

Pros: This case represents such a significant upgrade over my prior tin box in every way that no comparison exists. Nearly everything fell right into place although installing the Sapphire R9 280X card presented a few challenges but those were overcome.

Cons: Major con is I installed a Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H mobo and the case's 200mm fan connector is about 8 inches short of reaching the Fan 4 connection on the board. I'd love to know where to pick up an extension because I really want to connect this fan.

Otherwise, as others have posted, cable management diminishes the use of the window since all one can see are the cables.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case and still using 6 1/2 years later

Pros: I bought this case (minus USB 3.0) from Best Buy in early 2008 for my first build-from-scratch build. I'm still using this same case today. That is because I've had no need to switch to another case. That's also one less expense to worry about when upgrading.

- All fans still work as normal (though one has one of the blue LEDs out, which doesn't bother me a bit). I added one to the side panel and it's a great inlet for air right onto your video card(s)
- I've had no problem with all components staying cool
- I've had no issue with video cards fitting thus far. So far, in this case, I've used x2 8800 Ultras in SLI, an EVGA GTX 570 Classified, An EVGA GTX 770 SC, and now an EVGA GTX 970 SC. All fit fine, you just may not be able to have an HDD in the slot right behind your card.
- Sturdy and well-built

Cons: - Not much of a con for me, but figured I'd mention it. The one I have, there are only two pre-made holes in the motherboard tray for cabling. So during my first upgrade with the case, I made more holes for easier, better cable management.
- I saw that other people complained about this, but I had no issue hiding extra cabling on the backside of the motherboard tray.

Other Thoughts: This is a great time-tested case and I will stay with it as long as it does what I need it to.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Lightweight compared to most cases, looks fantastic, after 2 years of having it everything still works.

Cons: Might be a little tough putting in some of the new graphics cards, specially the gtx670s and what not. I have a gtx 570 and let's just say it barely fits.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend getting this case, if your like me who builds my own gaming computers this will do the job. This is a case meant for the average computer builder, if your thinking about building a big gaming rig, the case size is questionable. As I said before make sure you know your graphics card measurements before you buy. Barely fits my gtc 570

4 out of 5 eggsElegant, simple beginner case

Pros: For the price it is offered at, this case is one of the best of its class for beginner builders. The interior is spacious, the exterior is elegant and impressive, and the fans and connections are more than enough for everyday use.

Cons: Wire managment is quite a pain, especially when only a semi-modular power supply is used. There is hardly any space behind the motherboard to route wires in an organized manner.

If I remember correctly, I also had a bit of trouble during the building process because plugins for power buttons and other front jacks were not adequately labeled, so a bit of wire tracing had to be done to make sure I wasn't plugging things in to the motherboard incorrectly.

Other Thoughts: Other than the minor issues mentioned in the con section for building a computer, I have had nothing but good experiences with the case in the 2 years of my using it. Even with wires occasionally making unsightly journeys, airflow is hardly hindered and overheating has never been an issue for any part inside. Opening up the case and modifying the computer, whether it be adding a SSD or a wireless card, has always been a plesant and struggle-free experience.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Great

Pros: Plenty of Room for a Good GPU, USB 3.0, Good Cooling

Cons: Hard drives are a royal pain to remove and replace. Front grills are prone to moving around even when tightened as much as possible.
