5 out of 5 eggsnice case and psu

Pros: just the right size case. mb went in easily with enough room to mount the other components. best part is... no little cuts from sharp edges! good air flow through the case. dual fan power supply was a nice surprise and provides more than enough power for my needs. cables were plentiful and of sufficient length. another really nice surprise was the front panel e-sata port. it wasn't listed in the detail specs and should have been.

Cons: none really for me, but this was only my second build in the last 7 years and a sheet of instructions would have been nice. thankfully, i didn't have a reason to remove the front panel as i wouldn't know how.
a dedicated gamer might need more room for an over sized cpu cooler, but that's about it.

Other Thoughts: as there were no instructions, documentation, etc., these things i did shouldn't disqualify my review:
i replaced the rear 80mm fan with a 92mm that fit perfect and was a nice upgrade.
i also used the thin protective foam that came with the new mb on the inside of the vent panel to help filter out dust.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Features, price, easy to work with in doing PC build. Looks

Cons: None at the moment, not sure how power supply will hold up.

Other Thoughts: Solid case. Power supply fine for workstation config. Really starting to like these HEC cases. Laughed when I once read (mid tower) reviewer stating "best power button ever" but it really is solid. Front panel usb and audio, glossy front looks good but can attract dust. No sharp edges. Nothing flimsy or cheap about this case.

2 out of 5 eggsPower supply is 300w not 585w

Pros: Case is as advertised.

Cons: Sounds like there are a few other reviewers that had the same issue. The power supply included is a 300w max wattage model, NOT the 585 as advertised.

1 out of 5 eggsPSU is not 585 watts

Pros: Decent cheap case with plenty of room for longer GPUs.

Cons: Power supply specs are printed on the side says the model is "X-Power 585" but max output is listed at 300 watts.
I bought this case because the description says "There is also a 585W PSU..."

1 out of 5 eggs300 watt PSU

Pros: My micro ATX motherboard fit into the case and I managed to get most of the wires tucked out of the way. If you need a mini case to fit in a very small spot, and you don't need a lot of cooling, this one is okay.

Cons: The power supply model number is 585W, but the power supply is only 300 watts. This is misrepresented on the description page, as they call it "a 585W PSU" in several parts of the description, but there is no place where it reveals that the power supply is a 300 watt PSU. I had to buy a better PSU to add a video card to this case. I was quite upset.

Other Thoughts: This case can handle a single 80 or 90 mm rear fan, and possibly one on the side panel. My 92 mm CPU cooler was tall enough that I had to remove the tunnel from the side panel and didn't have room for a side fan, so hopefully heat won't be an issue. There is no front fan option. A person could add a slot cooler if they were desperate.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything works as advertised.

Cons: A bit smaller than I thought it would be. There really isn't any room for expansion. Power supply is not as rated. I find that they seem to rate power supplies like car amps, continuous vs peak. Power supply should support most, but heavy use drives and video/sound upgrade may want to look elswhere.

Other Thoughts: Works great for my basic setup. I added a Lite-On DVD-R and still spent less than $320 shipped. Can't beat it.

4 out of 5 eggsHmmm. It works!

Pros: It fit everything nicely and has decent cable management.

Cons: The power source is miss labeled in Newegg's search index. I purchased for the 585watt power source which happens to be 300 watt. In Newegg's defense Model numbers and actual spec's should never be labeled so closely. The power source is a '585W' model number, actual wattage 300. Don't let the sticker fool you.

Other Thoughts: It works, and the one egg drop was due to the Power Source misnomer. Mine came minus the Fire Wire front port but I really don't care, this is a build for my father and he barely gets USB2.0 usage so no worries.

FM1 Build:
This case and it's 300watt PSU
A8-3870k(ATI6550gpu)
ECS A55F-M3
8gb Ram 1866 (2x4)
250gb Toshiba 7200rpm
Wireless N
Acer 20 inch
(still need to upgrade HDD to SSD)
