Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower Chassis

Cooler Master’s HAF 912 further enriches the HAF series by adding a compact, yet fully featured mid-tower solution for enthusiasts and budget conscious gamers alike. Its seemingly small exterior supports a plethora of interior features such as twelve devices and high end GPU cards.

The HAF 912 embodies the rugged aesthetic and qualities of its brethren while remaining attractively priced. Its traits more closely resemble that of a mid to high-end case than that of other cases in its price range. The HAF 912 pays tribute to the legacy of HAF 932 & HAF 922 in ease of installation, high airflow, and compatibility with water cooling hardware.

FEATURE RICH STARTER CASE FOR ALL LEVELS
HAF 912 is the most compact solution in the HAF Series that still provides full desktop tower component support.
REMOVABLE / ROTATABLE HDD CAGE
The HDD cage can be easily removed to accommodate long high-end graphics cards. Rotate the cage 90 degrees to adjust your system airflow and cable management setup as you need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: Big case, Lots of airflow, looks great, lots of room, plenty of optical drive bays and hard drive bays. I have 4 hard drives in raid, still have room to slap an ssd in it if I want. Looks beefy, the 922 and 932 are too freaking huge in my opinion. They are great cases too though. I have built over a thousand custom built pc's and this is the one I personally use in my gaming computer. I bought a a big blue fan and installed it on the top of the pc. I bought 2, blue 12" cold cathode lights and it looks fantastic! Goldie locks and the three bears " Not too big, not too small, it's just right"

Cons: No clear side panel

Other Thoughts: They may have this option, but allow a clear side panel upgrade? It's not that big of a deal though. The Half 923?

3 out of 5 eggsIt's an OK case

Pros: The price. Great for a budget build!

Cons: When I bought this back a year ago it did not come with the right motherboard screws. The standoffs needed a finer thread. I ordered some and took care of the issue. A little frustrating when you have all the components, but a simple issue henders the build process.

Other Thoughts: The cable management is a little hard, but you can achieve great wiring with a little patience. The case was used in my first build and now I'm using it again for a second build. Due to the fact I didn't have enough money to replace it, but eventually I will.

2 out of 5 eggsMore of the same

Pros: The case is wonderfully designed and was very easy to use (exceptions below). The interior is roomy, and there is enough drive bays for anything you can possibly imagine.

The air circulation in the case is outstanding. If you plan on overclocking and using aftermarket cooling solutions, this case is for you.

Cons: Nice case for the money over all. There are a few issues with it, that must be addressed. My main "beef" with the case is the quality of fans provided. Within ONE DAY the front case fan started making ticking noises. The sound is considerable, and distracting. This will be the second HAF case with this type of problem. (my 1st being the 932) The front of the case will only accept 120MM fans. This is just a bad design, as all COOLERMASTER really needs to do is punch a few holes in the sheet metal. -1egg for faulty fan. (sounds like a card in bicycle spokes. checked it for clearance, the noise is coming from within the housing itself, not from the blades)

I will never buy a coolermaster fan because of this flaw. >ever<.

The perforations all over the case lead to structural issues, and the case is prone to warping.

Finally, the interior SSD bay is a piece of junk. It does not even line up with the holes drilled for it, and looks like someone stepped on it. That type of quality control is garbage. I should not have to use pliers to bend hardware into shape. - 1 egg

The "rapid release" on the 5 inch bays is useless, as it fails to hold a CD drive still enough to prevent rattling. I just removed it and used screws.

Finally there is a sharp edge on this case that gave me a significant cut, and it was near one of the wiring cutouts. I am glad I found it with my finger instead of with a power cable. -1 egg.

Finally, the rubber grommets on the back pop out with little provocation but are a beast to pop back into place. Expect a fight if you plan on routing cables through them.

Other Thoughts: Overall, if you can get this case for 40-50 bucks, it is worth it. Expect to purchase at least an extra 120MM fan. I am just tired of the poor quality control of CM products.

5 out of 5 eggswonderful

Pros: it looks pretty awesome in person. This is the first time building a pc and im very very happy how everything came out.

Cons: the only issue i had with this is the grounding mounts it wasnt staying on the case so when i put the motherboard in and tighten it down it made this squeak noise and it was stripping it but all in all love the case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Lots of room to work with good cable routing and it fits my Hyper Evo 212 cpu cooler. I don't have to worry about leaving the side panel open and sucking in dust since my room gets super dusty. Overall this is a great case for a great price.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: before you put your mother board in if you have the hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler make sure you plug in the cpu 1 and 2 power cable cords first cause the corner is very narrows you can always take the cpu cooler fan off for more space

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: This thing is nice. For the price you pay it is really worth it. And it gives you some good options for fans. I am using the maximum amount of fans you can on this case.

Cons: I was working on this case and I sliced my finger open and It almost needed stitches it was really bad so be careful but I did not find this a good enough reason take a star off.

5 out of 5 eggsThe ONE for all new builds

Pros: I have 2 of these cases. One houses a FX8350 with a H60 water cooler. I added a top fan and side fan. Temps are beautiful...20C. Utilizing Win Pro 8.1. 32gb of Gskill. 250 SSD. 1 1G and 2G harddrives. GTX 760. LG Blu-ray DVD burner and a LG DVD burner. 750psu. 3 usb attached drives. All connected to a MSI G46 Gaming Board. Origrinally was using the Asus MA5990X Pro, it died so this was the replacement. Not a bad choice in an emergency situation. This case just made everything feel at home and is highly appreciated. The other case houses a AMD 6300. Both cases have fulfilled my 2 recent builds with 10 stars each,if I was allowed. Both were delivered in 2 days. The garden state has provided us with great Newegg service.(only items I received from cal. were not up to standard. lol. The cases remind me of the Addtronics cases I purchased years ago. Made of steel and sturdy.

Cons: No lights on the front of the case. Its hard to see the usb ports with no lights on. Will try and find a led diode, small or some colored tape. This not a con. Just a comment.

Other Thoughts: I find this case to be winner. get 1 or 2.

5 out of 5 eggsHAF 912

Pros: This turned out to be a better case than i expected it to be. First of all for a mid tower it has a lot of space to pretty much fit any graphics card once you rearrange the HDD cage, also a lot of options for mounting fans which also helps with your temps. Overall i can say this is a solid case.

Cons: interior could have been painted but who cares.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this case to anyone. Will update in a in week n a half when i have my gtx 970.
