Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower Chassis

Cooler Master’s HAF 912 further enriches the HAF series by adding a compact, yet fully featured mid-tower solution for enthusiasts and budget conscious gamers alike. Its seemingly small exterior supports a plethora of interior features such as twelve devices and high end GPU cards.

The HAF 912 embodies the rugged aesthetic and qualities of its brethren while remaining attractively priced. Its traits more closely resemble that of a mid to high-end case than that of other cases in its price range. The HAF 912 pays tribute to the legacy of HAF 932 & HAF 922 in ease of installation, high airflow, and compatibility with water cooling hardware.

HAF 912 is the most compact solution in the HAF Series that still provides full desktop tower component support.
The HDD cage can be easily removed to accommodate long high-end graphics cards. Rotate the cage 90 degrees to adjust your system airflow and cable management setup as you need.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Purchase - Highly Recommended

Pros: Pretty much everything.
- The case is very solid, no lose/rattling parts, I wouldn't be surprised if it withstood my chainsaw. (just kidding)
- The case comes with ample amount of parts. I think this will be the first time I actually have a product where I will never be using the extra parts, because there are so many of them (a good thing)
- The aesthetics suit my liking fairly well. There aren't any fancy LED's stretching across the whole case, or a fancy clear side panel, but for a value case, I am happy.
- The airflow is amazing. No complaints at all. Stress tested it using speed fan and played Battlefield 4 max setting for 2 hours, skyrim max settings for 2 hours, and some other games. Temps stayed below 40C
- The case had plenty of room, as it fit 3 HDD's, a solid state, crossfire GPU'S and my hyper Evo 212 with 2 fans on each side of the heatsinc! (which is a first for me). But it is not ever sized either.
- If the rating went up to 1000, I would choose a 1000. Case is HIGHLY recommended!

Cons: While on my morning train to work, for about 30 minutes, I tried to think of a con to put up. The only thing I could think of was that the zip ties were too small.

5 out of 5 eggsThis case allowed me to create a cool and quiet machine

Pros: Easily the best case for 60$

I built two machines using this case and both were fun to work in not a hassle.

Can hide the wires from the power supply

Can take out the hard drive bay for more airflow which is what I did

Comes with a SSD bracket (really comes with a lot of extra goodies for those just in case moments)

Supports 2 200nm fans which is what I bought for both machines (coolermaster megaflow is fantastic)

Cons: USB 2.0 still

The 2 fans it comes with are not enough unless you have a lower temp CPU and the fans are real loud at full load.

Other Thoughts: Lots of room to work in and I think it’s a great case for the money.

Also the case is so big that all my fans actually turn off when doing normal things with the stock Intel heat-sink(with a smaller case heat was trapped more). My board stays at 42C as well.

Power supply: Corsair 750watt RM fan never turned on since I use 300 watts max in gaming (tested with crysis 3 and a Kill A watt meter)

GPU: GTX 970 MSI fans once again turn off doing light tasks

CPU: I7 4790K Stock heat-sink during gaming and the setup above it reaches 70-80C which is fine and during normal use its at <50C which is when my case fans turn off. Getting a 212+ cooler with a COUGAR CF-V12H fan so it can stay very quiet.

I’m writing this review for someone if they want a cool and extremely quiet machine they know where to look. Also I know many will disagree but I don’t like flashy cases so spending the extra 40$ on the fans was still 100$ and I don’t get that type of cooling with any other case. Keep in mind the bigger the fan the more CFM that can come in with less sound.

5 out of 5 eggsReal Nice Case

Pros: - Good airflow
- Very solid design
- Easy access to everything
- Comes with HDD brackets, very easy installation
- Includes a set of HDD brackets for every drive bay
- Includes adapter for 2.5in HDD. Great for SSD's
- Solid power and reset button
- Easy setup, cable management
- Awesome price

Cons: - Case does not show off all my LED's
- Does not cook eggs
- Lacks a good location for little stickers that come with a CPU

Other Thoughts: My friend has a HAF case. After inspecting his and seeing how it has stood the test of time, I decided to purchase one. He has had his for about 2 years. Neither of us have had issues setting it up or maintaining it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cheap case.

Pros: It's a nice case. There is plenty of open space to keep all of your components cool. It doesn't have all the flashiness and lights of more expensive cases, but it gets the job done. The power and HD led's are red.

Cons: The directions could have been a little better for the tool-less installation of the 5.25" and 3.5" drives, but it is easy enough to figure it out.

Other Thoughts: If you need a basic high-airflow case, this will get the job done, and it really doesn't look bad.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Great Price, Great Service

Pros: Inexpensive, classy looking case. Includes 2 case fans, tons of space for activities

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you want a nice mid tower with great air flow and plenty of room for installing new hardware, you can't go wrong here...I paid for it at noon one day, and paid for the 4 day shipping and it showed up at my house the next day. Not bad.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case!

Pros: A lot of room for your hands to work on. Very easy wire management. Gives you all hardware required to do a motherboard installation. Very easy to work with. Provides great cooling efficiency.

Cons: Maybe more fans besides the one in the front and back. At least provide one for the side and top. You have to purchase your own if you desire.

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsSome Case Rattling

Pros: Good room, lots of screws, no flashy lights (i like this about cases), lots of ventilation.

Cons: the rubber support for PSU flimsy. Broke almost instantly when i try to move the PSU by a bit. not a big deal really.

Since i live in NYC, there are lots of subways, and sometimes subway train underground creates a subtle vibration. I started noticing a little "metal rattling" sound from the case, and at first I thought it's cables hitting fan hitting the metal case but found out it's the mesh/grill part for the rear fan that's creating this noise. Fortunately, after a while, i finally made it stop by playing around with the screw tightness around the fan, and putting some padding on the bottom of the case.

Also, the 2.5" cage isn't made to actually just-fit 2.5" drives... you actually need to screw in the 2.5" drives so that the 2.5" cage will tighten enough to mount on top of the front-bottom 3.5" drive bays, or the screw holes don't line up. So far i have no problem with the drives, but not sure if the extra torque going to create problems later?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: You can fit anything you want and has several locations for extra fans if you need to. Easy to lock in anything.

Cons: It's a bit bigger than an ordinary case in width. Not that bad for a con. Instructions a bit difficult.

Other Thoughts: it's a good cheap case.
