5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget case

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Stylish.
Lots of drive bays.
Lots of spots for fans
If you're not using SSD's, the included bracket works great for holding all of your extra power supply cables.

Cons: Ok Cooler Master, I realize this is a budget case, but could you have increased the price by 15 cents and included a couple more 5 1/4 drive bay locking clips? 4 bays, 1 clip. Really?

Just a little more room behind the motherboard would have been nice. As it is, I had to mash the SATA cables a bit.

I don't understand why they couldn't put in USB3.0 ports in the front. Do they cost more than a few cents extra?

The included motherboard mounting screws are not correct. The head is much too small, so they don't make contact with the grounding points around the motherboard screw holes.

Perhaps this is the fault of the ASUS motherboard I installed, but when I mounted it, the board is just a hair too far forward (even when pushed back as screws were tightened), so the rear panel connectors don't quite poke as far out as they should.

No eggs off for any of this because at this price, it's hard to complain. Just things to watch out for.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a really good case for the price. a few sharp corners, but nothing compared to the razor sharp edges in other cases in this price range. It also includes a lot of higher end features (like a bracket to mount 2 SSDs without using a 3.5" bay) and upgrade options (you can add 4 more fans if you want, for example).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Easy to install parts and good cable management.

Cons: No USB 3.0. Don't know if there is an upgrade kit for it. So I bought an external USB 3.0 card reader and put it on top of the case.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this case off of Newegg but wanted to point how great looking case when using 200mm fans. I have one installed in the front with red LEDs and thanks to the mesh grille it looks like it's on fire. Love it!! I also have 200mm fan non LED installed on top of the case so with that in mind pay close attention to the CPU cooler clearance for the Intel i7 quad processors. Mine barely clears it. Then again I was using a fairly massive cooler.

Overall love the case!

3 out of 5 eggsCase Cable management

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Can remove the SSD ports for better air-flow. Nice big opening on top for a fan, but wish they had a cover for it for those without the fan to place there. Super easy installation.

Cons: My only con is there is not a lot of space behind the mobo board to hide your cables. i wish it was just a little bigger, you have to put in a lot of effort depending on your PSU to get your cables hidden well without it pushing on the chasey which makes a vibrating noise.

Other Thoughts: Good case for the price and not heavy. They got feet on the bottom to lift for the bottom air intake which is nice. Just wish there was a little more room behind the case to make cable management simpler/less effort.

5 out of 5 eggsFavorite Case

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Where to begin? Currently housing my i7-950 overclocked to 4.0 GHz and with my aftermarket CPU cooler and four fans, it stays around 35C at load. The dust filters are nice too, see the cons for my only complaint about them. This case has tremendous air flow as long as you route your cables correctly.

This has plenty of space for cable management as long as you plan your build out first. I've got a SSD, two HDs, a disc drive, and a front plate for temp/fan speed and were it not for the massive Enermax CPU cooler, I could look through the front of the case and see out the back.

Plenty of space for anything you need in this case, though if you were going to use up all of the available drive bays, I'd opt for a full-size tower instead for better cable management.

All in all, this is my personal favorite computer case I've purchased/owned to date, and I recommend it to anyone building a computer that wants a mid-size tower. CM really did their homework on this one.

Cons: Doesn't make me coffee or breakfast in the morning.

Joking aside, the only real con I've found is cleaning the dust filters. They're not terrible to get out, but they could have done without a few clips on one side. Not enough to take an egg off by any means.
Inside of the case is not painted black either, but I knew that when I bought it.

5 out of 5 eggsSlick Cheap Case

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Easy to remove unwanted parts. Great front and top ventilation. Comes with two free 120mm fans

Cons: Looks hard to remove the mesh to clean the screens in between the casings.

Other Thoughts: Don't look any further for a nice fitting starter case unless you insist on shiny lights.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy install

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Case features plenty of room, and offers room between the motherboard tray and the back outside panel (which is removable, which was a huge help) for easy cable management. Hard drive bays were well located (and supposedly adjustable, although I didn't have need to test that) and allowed plenty of room to install cords.

Cons: Not a major con, but there was not enough room between my fan/radiator for my CPU cooler ( CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler – Intel Only) and the 200mm fan I wanted to install at the top of the case, so I had to move the 200mm fan to the front, and install a 120mm on top instead. Not enough for me to take an egg off, but it is something to be aware of if you're using a CPU cooler with a larger radiator.

Other Thoughts: For a relatively low priced case, I was extremely happy with how it functions and looks.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic for Beginners - LIKE ME!

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Easy to take of side Panels
Comes with 2 fans
Very nice and easy to install HDD and SSD
Comes with Brackets and Cable Ties for cable management
Cables can be routed underneath motherboard
Very VERY Spacious

Cons: The Front Panel USB, Headphone jack, and MIC jack all feel cheaply made

Other Thoughts: Extremely nice for beginners, it DOES fit Micro ATX boards like the description said as that is what i put into it. I have a 3 year old OEM and i wanted a bigger case for for better air flow and it fits and breathes just fine.

I will be ordering another one in about 1-2 weeks for my newer build that ill be working on, I LOVE IT THAT MUCH <3

Seriously though, if youre a beginner, and you like simple, open cases that are easy to use and set up, this is the case for you.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Good Case

This review is from: Cooler Master HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case excels in every category I care about. It looks nice. It's build well. There is plenty of space. You have good airflow options. You have pretty good cable management, and the price is fair.

Cons: While there is space for more this case only comes with 2 fans. There are slots for cable management, but they are open no grommets. There is no basement the power supply and cables coming from it are open. The 5.25 bay covers are a little flimsy. For the price you can't really expect all that which is why I didn't subtract any eggs.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this case again.
