3 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Spacious insides, everything fit in quite nicely

Cons: There were not enough of their "toolless" clamps to fill the drive bays in the case. This was a huge let down to me. I purchased it specifically because of the number of bays it had.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Cable Managment... But Airflow.

Pros: So far my motherboard/cpu has not hit above 45 Celsius. Nice airflow.

Cons: No cable management slots at all... Less than 2mm of room between the motherboard bracket and the back of the case. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on another model. :/

4 out of 5 eggsPretty alright case.

Pros: It works and is pretty cool looking. Blue LED is neat. Fairly cheap.

Cons: For $60, you should also get a fan on the rear, but I guess it's not that big of a deal.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor design but cheap case

Pros: I got mine for around $50 so it was pretty cheap, the inside is painted, has tool-less 3.5 and 5.25in bays, good fan filters, good case for beginners

Cons: No cable routing holes, standard length psu's will block off the bottom 120mm vent, the 120mm fan mount on the window blocks off most of the view of the graphic card(s) and if no fan is installed the cutout for the fan ruins the entire look of the side window, cables are attached to the front panel and can easily to be ripped out if your not careful, there's a extra 5.25in bay above the 3rd one that you can easily open up with a dremel, the top does not support a 240mm radiator simply because cooler master decided not to move the fan screw holes closer (if they did, you could mount the actual radiator on the inside and the fans on the outside), the front panel cables are too short and need to be about 5 inches longer in a fully loaded build

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon Jacob,

I apologize your Elite 430 case is not working out for you as the following concerns you had with the bottom fans are designed as an intake for the power supply as well as the fan placement on the side panel (optional if you're interested in viewing your graphics cards). Although liquid-cooling is very much mainstream now, it looks as if this case was not designed with that in mind as it was released prior to that, however it is very much possible to mount an exterior 240mm radiator and punch out the rear tube holes on the rear for a custom liquid-cooled setup (NON-AIO) for those enterprising and creative mod community members.

2 out of 5 eggsFan failed

Pros: Its a medium sized case and fits my stuff

Cons: I have only had this case for less than a week and the front fan has already failed (this is the one and only fan that comes with the case). Good thing I bought two other fans to mount. Also, it fits everything I need to fit but just barely. The warranty will probably allow me to fit everythign in a new case but I JUST put everything together and, on top of that, my school wont allow me to be without a computer for a week.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Thomas,

I apologize your Elite 430 is not working correctly as we can replace the defective fans through our CM Fanzone along with your purchase invoice and serial number at the link below as a Parts Request. We can also discuss your concerns through Live Chat, Phone and Support Ticket.

I look forward to your response.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a case that will seat a motherboard as described

Pros: It will seat the supported motherboards. I've had a mATX and a full ATX in it with no issue.

Painted black interior compliments the window nicely.

Cons: Lack of USB 3

While it's possible to mount a 120mm fan on the window I would highly recommend against it. I've tried both metal screw as well as rubber ones. But nothing will damp the sound it would make rattling the plastic and thin metal around it to a level that's bearable to me.

Speaking of flimsy metals let me tell you. The metals here are thin, and the 2 top mounted fans will make noise. Not as much as the window one. But it will be noticeable when you are in a room with nothing else playing.

PCIe slot and 3.5 and 2.5 bay doors pop off and cannot be put back in.

You know what you don't want to see with a Windowed case? Cables! You know what you really can't manage in this case? Cables! You might be able to hide some thin connectors behind the case, but ATX connectors or CPU connectors? Forget it! The best you can do is lay them low enough on the case as to be unnoticeable. But you are not going to have a clean looking system with this.

Other Thoughts: I got this case for less than $20 after MIR so I have only myself to blame for the lack of convenience. But if you are buying this case at its regular price I would advice you to look elsewhere. This case is old (lack of USB 3), poorly built and poorly designed. If you absolutely don't care about noise or look and just want a case that works. Well this qualify. But I wouldn't give this case anymore credit than that.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Junk.

Pros: Nothing at all.

Cons: All standoffs and screws stripped, took me 2 hours to remove it and on top of that, it ruined my motherboard because this wouldn't come out because of the stupid, stripped, threads in this case. This was supposed to be built for my fathers birthday, but now thats ruined. Thanks Cooler Master!

4 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Elite 430

Pros: I love this case, used it for my first build. made of quality metal on with a bit of plastic on the front. fully black painted on the inside too. it's got enough room for a solid mid size build. with a very large windowed side panel with fan attachment. the blue ascetics go great with black/white components, and there are enough slots to do virtually anything (within reason).

Cons: the PCIe slots for inserting GPUS and other components cannot be put back on after they are taken off. if you live in with pets or a lot of dust the front docking bays have gotten pretty dirty on mine, so make sure to maintain them with duster or something that can keep the front intake fan and bays.

Other Thoughts: over its a great case for mid range builds. cheap, durable. great case that can take care of anything you throw in it with ease.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case, lots of airflow.

Pros: Great case, has lots of airflow and plenty for room for fans. Shipping was faster then I originally though :O!

Cons: The only reason I took off an egg was because 2 of my screws holes that you use to mount your motherboard with stripped easily. All the others are very solid but 2 of them stripped and I think those were the only flaws when manufacturing.

Other Thoughts: All in all for the price it was a great case. I'll buy it again for the same price I paid for. Great case non the less and plenty of room for airflow.
