Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower Chassis

The case that is held up as the benchmark for full towers, HAF X has remained the flagship of the highly popular High Air Flow Series (HAF). Its rugged militaristic design offers a tough casing that provides outstanding protection while providing an unprecedented ease of use when it comes to building and managing a complex and powerful system. This extends to support for the latest graphics cards and components.

The HAF X can handle up to four full length graphics cards.
Using micromesh filters located in the front bezel, top exhausts, side panel, and bottom floor, the HAF X is resistant to dust buildup.
A high airflow design strives to eliminate overheating with Large 200 and 230mm fans that spin at lower RPMs to ensure high Airflow without high noise.
There are two X-Dock bays at the front that are compatible with up to two 3.5” or 2.5” drives.
Two front ports are USB 3.0 and compatible with SuperSpeed USB. The HAF X ports are backwards compatible with USB 2.0.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case but with a few issues

Pros: Rugged and large; plenty of room for everything; good cable management; hot swap drives

Cons: Watercooling sucks in this case; cable management with the power supply is a bit tricky and anything at the bottom of the case or on the outside edge of the mobo

Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong, this is a nice case. The issue is I've had this case for several years and I see now what is missing. For one, the dust filters are not easy to get to, especially the top. Keep in mind if you do decide to add a radiator at the top (240 or 360), the top grill will cutoff the air flow since it is meant to house 2 separate 240mm fans. I have a 240mm rad at the top now and about 3/4 down the rad the airflow is blocked. The second issue is if you decide to pull air into the top part of the case with a radiator there. Dust. The killer of all things computer. No way to get to it and clean it without removing the radiator. Of course, the manual states to use it as exhaust but why would you ever blow warm/hot air through your radiator? Look at every automobile ever made, the radiator is never installed to blow hot engine air through it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Large Case. Fits everything I could ever thing of sticking into it.
Power/reset button cover. Very useful since I own a cat who like to sit on top of my computer.

Cons: My old M5A97 original (Not 2.0) motherboard wouldn't fit exactly onto the side of the case, had to make a small adjustment. Nothing big.

Other Thoughts: One tank of a case.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite case

Pros: The overall design of the case is very much geared towards a gamer or high graphics designer. The case comes with four fans that provide plenty of air but still leave room for more if you need it. The button layout and front of case is very easy to access and install drives. The support bracket for the video card comes in great for my large graphic card. The wire system for hiding your cords is also superior to other cases I have used in my business.

Cons: None that I can find.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Big, moves lots of air, quiet*(see cons) not too bright and room for cable management*(see cons) and vary attractive.

Cons: this case is quiet but when i reserved it the side vent grill was bent inward do to ether damage in production or shipping but i was able to gently hand bend it back out. also while there is plenty of space inside the main compartment of the case it dose not provide as much space behind the board as i would like, if you have large connectors and lots of connections to make out of sight than you will have to get crafty and basically force the back shut. my final gripe is that some of the mobo stand offs had to be stripped once inserted to get them all the way in this makes me slightly sad because if i ever do decide to change out my mobo and keep this case it will make it difficult.

Other Thoughts: all and all this case was everything i had hoped it would be i docked an egg because it let me down a little also be wary of shipping as my box was damaged in transit.

5 out of 5 eggsReal Estate King

Pros: I've been building PCs for very long time and always Real Estate is a problem. When case is big enough it almost looks like they just got a bigger box without anything useful addons or usage of that space. HAF X is an amazing case there are hundreds reviews out there so I'll just be quick with my 2 cents. Amazing design for SDDs and HDDs, Fans are good quality right out of the box with one little note to that. Unfortunately they are not 4 Pin and after running bench speed test on fans I realized that fans have almost 1 speed. In reality it's not but by looking at RPM I can tell you that at 20% speed is almost identical as at 100% May be 5% increase in speed. I'd love to have fans with discrete and smooth RPM control so motherboard can get real 20% speed when you want silence and 100% when you blasting. So for fans I have to say that indeed they are great fans but for my like I'd change all of them for 4PIN and let motherboard control speed automatically. Be advised if you change fan front on / off light and button will not work so if you want light in the front get a fan with light always on or controlled otherwise. Basically this case will make you one happy builder. Enough space for pretty much anything you want.

Cons: I see some "ana*" stuff like dust grabber cleaning and some other things like right side door pushed in metal should be side to side, may be cpu access opening should be bigger or at light a bit to the left. But again this is small things and no matter for most people.

Other Thoughts: Just get it , you'll love it. Get all in one Liquid Cooler for CPU and mount it on the top, 220 or 240 will do just fine.

4 out of 5 eggsVery big case

Pros: This was my first build, so I wanted something pretty big to work around, and get used to. It fit the bill, plenty of wiggle room for drives, card and fans. I like the top panel power switch, but the cover for it is pretty hard to slide. Would be nice if it had something to grab hold of to help slide.

Cons: Every now and then, when I go to plug a usb device into the top usb port, it sounds like it sparks, and the computer restarts. Others times, when I touch my light switch in my room, in the winter, it restarts. I think they are both related, as I've read the forums about this particular problem.

Other Thoughts: Great case, a little heavy, red led front fan is nice, plenty of features, but shorts out occasionally.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case for Gamers/Enthusiasts

Pros: -Hardcore, industrial look
-Plenty of space to put whatever you want in it
-Great cable management options

Cons: -One of the cable grommets ripped and a rubber flap came off, losing some of the aesthetic appeal
-HEAVY, (but I expected that)

5 out of 5 eggsBest case/tower

Pros: This case is a beast. I decided to go with this computer tower for standard ATX (it also works for pretty much every other form factor) for high air flow, maximum cooling, and plenty of space. This is a great case, plenty of fans, very good airflow, very spacious. Very easy to install components and plenty of spots within the case to thread wires and cords. It also has a nice SSD bay!

Cons: The side fan on the left side of the case is a bit unnerving right next to where the video card usually goes, but a good wiring job with zip ties leaves no worries.

Other Thoughts: I will be using this case for quite a long time as I upgrade pc components as needed.
