The Cosmos 1000 from Cooler Master has an acoustical performance that reminds you of the quiet of space. Extreme sound suppression was a primary focus of the design. All four of the fans are 120mm to move the most air with the least noise. The two fans on the top blow air out through a louvered duct and the intake fan is on the bottoms and pulls air up through a filter. The side panels are covered in a sound deadening material.
But it isn't just about keeping things cool, convenience also played an important role in the design process. The five external 5.25" bays have a one button locking system to secure the drives in place. Six hard drives can be installed in individual cages with sound deadening grommets. The cages and expansion slot screws are all thumb screws so you don’t need to worry about finding a screwdriver, though one is included.
At the top of the case is the control and connection panel with the power and reset buttons, plus the status LEDs. They've also included a FireWire port, eSATA port and audio jacks. Four USB ports let you connect your peripherals without having to reach around the back of your case.
Pros: I received this case about three weeks ago (thanks Newegg) and just completed building my gaming PC. Having built numerous custom PC's in the past I have to say that this case is the best-looking and well-designed case I've ever seen. The interior of the case is a pleasure to work in. Plenty of working space and no confined areas. Even the cable management areas in this case work great. The location and use of all items (side panels, drive bays, locations of the 4 fans,) is perfect. All fans operating at high speed are almost inaudible. Even my wife took a second look at this case when it arrived and commented that it was a beauty and, believe me, she could care less about computers. Cooler Master spent a lot of time in designing this case to be user-friendly and it definitely shows. The craftsmanship is first rate, sound level of all fans is extremely low and air flow couldn't be better. You really need to see this case to appreciate its beauty, build-quality and innovative features.
Cons: There are some sharp edges in this case particulary in the hard drive bay areas. I have a few small cuts on my hands because of these but I've seen and used cases that should have a box of bandaids included in the accessory kits. Just be careful in the HD drive area.
Other Thoughts: Best looking case I've ever seen. Best design both inside and outside. Ergonomically perfect. Extremely easy to use. No fancy side windows to ruin its sleek profile and smooth finish. Other than some sharp edges inside the HD bay areas I am thoroughly enjoying the looks and performance of this case. If you really want to showcase you PC after it's built then this is the one to get.

The A-10 Warthog of Cases!
Reviewed By: Cloud Dancer on 11/16/2007
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: The hard-cores got together on this project! Almost perfect. Holds (6) 3.5 inch Hard Drives in a slide out, high quality tool-less rack-type configuration. (reminds me of the avionics racks on hi-performance jets). Holds (5) 5.25" drives that secure with a springloaded push button lock. Any drive, except the (3.25"floppy) can be changed out in less than 2 minutes and that includes the time to remove the case sides! Mounting the floppy is a little tricky, but involves carefully removing the pre-mounted racks from one of the 5.25" bays, but it can be done. And yes, contrary to what has been written, you can mount one of the (4) included 120mm fans (the one in the shroud) above the hard drive racks to draw cool outside air in from the bottom of the case. Case includes 4 fans (Mountings available for 6) and works by drawing cool air in from the bottom through dust screens and venting it out the top and rear of the case. Case is roomy; has 4 USB, 1 E-SATA and more on top panel.
Cons: Better be mechanically savvy if you plan on using this case to it's potential. The documentation is very lacking, near non-existent. Specifically, mounting (moving) the hard drive fan and mounting the floppy drive takes a while to figure out. The only other possible negative I can see is that the included 120mm fans don't move much air, but they are quiet and they are included with the case. Barely a negative as it's easy enough to upgrade fans.
Other Thoughts: This case is built like a tank, easily holds anything you ever though you might put in a computer case, and looks like some sort of high tech alien attack drone. You'll want to place it where guests will see it and wish they had one. Serious Builders Only!

Pros: Reasons to buy: Elegant, sexy, mature look to it. Handle bars! Very easy to move it around. You can actually slide it on carpet really easily. Plently of room inside to work with. Excellent fan cooling.
Cons: The blue light by the on button seemed really bright to me at first, but I got used to it. You can always put a little piece of electrical tape over it.
Other Thoughts: This is the only case as far as I know that looks sexy. All other cases look like trash. Everyone who walks into my office is instantly entranced by this case. They must stare at it and ask me all about it before moving on with their lives.
Functionally, this case is perfect, just like a lot of other cases. But aethetically as well as func., this is the only perfect case.

Best Case ever !!!

Pros: Looks, Quiet, ease to install, and You become the envy of all who see her.
Cons: It runs cool enought, but I would advise you to remove the two top 120mm fans and replace with 140mm. Holes are already there (so no drilling) also it comes with a hard drive fan bracket. I recommend using it. The 120mm you took from top of case will do.
