5 out of 5 eggsBest budget case out there

Pros: Air filter. No tools or screws needed for drive mounting. Huge upgrade over the $30 cases out there. Quiet.

Cons: The plastic retention for expansion cards doesn't give me much confidence. I've always used screws there. The air filter isn't easily removed for cleaning.

Other Thoughts: Very good case in this price range. I've purchased several of these cases over the past couple of years because it strikes a great balance between price, features and build quality.

4 out of 5 eggsGood tower

Pros: Nice and roomy. Screwless design. Pretty good airflow, it keeps all of my components at a nice, cool temp.

Cons: The screwless design is somewhat a flaw. It is the only reason I wasn't ready to give this case 5 eggs. The design works perfectly for the CD and HDD slots, but the other slots, the plastic is to flimsy. I ended up breaking about 3 holders installing my GPU.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend this case to anyone who will be doing their first build. This was my first build and it was a breeze installing everything into this roomy case.

5 out of 5 eggsMy third CM case purchase

Pros: The case looks good without being too flashy or over the top, and is suitable for most environments; office, home, home server. However, for office i would get the non-window Centurion 5.

Build quality rates an A

Design rates an A-

No sharp edges!

Superb airflow. This thing breathes like a hippo.

Buttons feel good, not cheap or like they are going to vanish into the abyss if you press one too hard.

Front panel comes off easily and goes on solid.

All holes and sheet metal line up perfectly. Nothing was off. Seams and holes lined up as expected.

The toolless design is good. My drives all fit nice and snug.

Cons: Nothing major.

I like the plastic retaining clips for the cards but they could be tighter.

What happened to the HD cage? My first CM Centurion 5 had a removable cage. This one does not. I prefer the removable cage as it lends itself to easier swapping of drives without having to navigate my hands around other components.

Hey Coolermaster - the USB\Sound\1394 ports are on the bottom. I knew this when I bought it but it's time this case had an update. Keep the design and price point but move the ports up. No one wants to reach down to the floor to plug in a camera. Sure the owner can use a desktop hub but if you are going to include front ports please put them on top or at least in the middle.

Other Thoughts: Other than needing a slight design update this case is still an excellent buy. It's well made and very well ventilated. My hard drives were in an mATX case running 40C but will not exceed 32C in this case now that I have added an 80mm fan up front.

My modest build with this case:

Gigabyte mATX 780G AM2+ board.
HD 4670 1gig
X2-555 85 Watt CPU
3 gigs of DDR2 RAM
Two hard drives, 1.6TB
One DVDRW
Audigy Sound Card
Antec 550W PSU

3 out of 5 eggsAlright

Pros: Nice size, pretty good room for all components. Absolutely love the quick snap in feature for HDD's. Never had that in a case before. The quick locks for the expansion cards are pretty nifty too, but I broke one just playing with it, but overall they are still pretty cool. I've had the same case for quite a few years, so I'm sure some of these features are pretty standard but this case delivers.

Cons: One major con that to me is worth -2 Eggs is that the case I got had the wrong quantity of stand off screws. The part list says I should have 4 of part A and 9 of part B. I have 11 of part A and only 2 of part B. I know this seems stupid to take off two eggs because I have plenty of them laying around the house, but come on, if Cooler Master can't get their parts right, what else are they screwing up.

Other Thoughts: All in all the case is good, had it not been for the hardware shortage it would of gotten 5 eggs. Next time maybe they will learn to count. Props to Newegg and FedEx, both delivered on their end of the bargain.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent case

Pros: Nice design, aesthetically pleasing.

Cons: Some of the plastic parts break easily.

Other Thoughts: The case is pretty good overall, but those plastic tabs on the PCI slots are cheap and easily broken even when being careful. Same thing about the plastic locks for the drive bays.

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent Case, One of the Best!

Pros: I bought this case back in march of 2007 and have yet to have a problem with it. Over the years it has seen 3 different motherboards (ECS 530i, Abit 680i, Asus P6X58D-E), 3 different video cards (gt7600, gts8600, gtx260), and 2 different power supplies. Nothing has broken, gone out, or stopped working. No need to ever buy a new case again! Also shows off my cool little blue LED lights

Cons: only two fans. (one intake, one out take) This created a problem when installing the Corsair H50 CPU cooler because it requires you to flip your exhaust fan (the rear 120mm fan) so that it will pull cool air into the cpu cooler's radiator. Not that big of a deal though. I was able to mount another 120mm fan in the front top, just below my dvd-rom drive.

Other Thoughts: This case has been on the market for about four years now, has not changed price, and is still a top seller. That could never happen with computer components unless they were truly future proof... Which this case is. Totally worth it, BUY IT! you wont regret it!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Tower

Pros: Quality craftsmanship--good-looking--great ventilation and fan cooling--very quiet. Liked the see-through panel so much, I had to put blue cold cath tubes inside.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Like the snap together design for case and internals--last computer built had screws--this is much better. Impressed with Coolermaster quality. Every bit as good as last case I bought (Antec). Great job by Newegg getting product to me fast and in perfect condition.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy Camper

Pros: No hassle assembly; solid construction;good air flow;
plenty of room and easy to keep clean filters in front.
The two fans that come with the case actually work!

Cons: Front bay knock outs have to be twisted out,not really a
big deal

Other Thoughts: I've have purchased 5 Cooler Master Centurion cases.
They are by far the best built case out there in this price range.I have a $120 competitor case that is a pure nightmare to place motherboards in.Since that case I've bought nothing but Cooler Mater Centurion's.Every one
was a joy to build and under $70!!!Never had any cooling problems or lack of room with either a 9600gt or 8600gts video card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Can't touch price and I got it free shipping.
Great case for basic or mid to high end system.

Cons: I have bought many of these, now the front fan is an 80...use to be a 92.. a little loud now.

Other Thoughts: FIX IT Cooler master.
