Great mini ITX Case
- Pros: Fit/finish excellent. Candy Apple Red or light Burgundy is closer than the photo. Small footprint. Standard P/S and DVD.
- Cons: Slight heat build up at top of case. Internal USB to front panel cable too short if you install any graphics card. No front panel audio. Motherboard alignment with rear panel off by about 1/8". No extra case screws. ( I knew all of this going in, except USB cable length, but it needs to be mentioned. )
- Other Thoughts: My space is extremely limited so I have zeroed in on mini ITX. The System: PC-Q07 + E-8500 w/Scythe SCSK-1100 + Zotac GF9300-D-E + 4gb Corsair XMS + Zotac GF9800GT eco(it fits) Scythe HDD cooler reversed to aid graphics card cooling + Super Talent Ultra 64gbSSD + WD 500gb(esata) + LG DVD burner + Antec EA-380D 80+ bronze.
No heat or power issues so far but if heat buildup becomes a problem I will add 3 x 30mm fans inside on the back to aid cooling.
Just go slow and think out the build, and you will have a great little system.
Avoid
- Pros: Looks nice
- Cons: Poorly designed, My case arrived with no standoffs built on the board therefore rendering it useless. The idea of being able to fit a standard atx psu in this case is ridiculous because you can't fit anything in this case that would require the power.
- Other Thoughts: My case is being returned along with the other things for my mini-itx build do to poor craftmanship from Lian-Li.
I LOVE this case!
- Pros: The look: Despite the online pictures this case is a deep cherry red, anodized on vertically brushed aluminum. Fit and finish are exemplary, with small recessed screws holding the panels on. It is the most tasteful computer I've built, and that's out of many dozens over three decades.
- Cons: Is it so hard to get USB ports right side up? Apparently so, since this is a problem with so many cases. There are no spares for the many many small screws holding it together. Don't lose any. Case LEDs are not labeled for polarity. Power LED needed modification so fit two pin header on Mobo. Split it in half and used it as two single pins. Minimal documentation.
- Other Thoughts: Because of tight space, you must think things through prior to starting or be willing to redo various things.
Things are near silent when idle, very quiet otherwise. Mobo: Intel BOXD945GCLF2 Atom 330 PS: SeaSonic M12II SS-430GM 430W HD: WD 1TB Black DVD: SAMSUNG CD/DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S223C

Mini-Q PC-Q07 was manufactured in Taiwan. The quality and craftsmanship are high standard. In some process, Lian Li still asserted in using hand craft to in certain steps in production. Because of some unique techniques can’t be replace by machines, and it is how much effort Lian Li has put into it’s product.
To ensure user can put everything together easily, Lian Li designer decided to use only standard PC component inside the Mini-Q PC-O07, standard Mini-ITX motherboard, standard 5.25” optical drive, standard 3.5”/2.5” hard drives, and standard ATX PS/2 power supply units. The parts are easy to get on current market, and it would be easy to upgrade and server in the future. |
