2 out of 5 eggsInteresting design but it has issues...

Pros: From the outside its your typical Lian Li clean looks and quality build material, this mostly continues on the inside too but there are some problems (see cons).

Cooling is good with 1 140mm intake fan and 1 120mm exhaust.

Its a short full ATX case which is a neat idea and its done via a cleaver PSU mounting system. It has some draw backs but I didn't really have any major problems with it.

Soft mounting for the case fans and hard drives like all the newer Lian Lis. And yes this makes a big difference for quite machine.

Cons: BE AWARE OF PSU LOCATION BEFORE YOU BUY!!

First the PSU mounting is odd and dose crowd the CPU HS/F area. Largely I was fine with it but you'll want to be aware of it and choose your HS/F accordingly (low profile Zalman 8700NT fits fine). I'm taking off one egg here.

Short cables. The USB header would only reach the nearest USB port with any amount of reasonable slack and the HD audio cable would not reach at all on my Asus M4A87TD-EVO. 1 - 2 inches would have made all the difference, -1 egg.

Blue LED intake fan; for me this a negative but I suppose its personal preference. At least its not too bright.

The power button on mine is defective so its going back unless I can get a new button from Lian Li. Either way -1 egg for poor quality control.

Other Thoughts: Due to the short USB and audio port cables and odd PSU mounting I think I will be avoiding this case in the future.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Case with a Power Supply Ba-donk-a-donk

Pros: - Lian Li Prestige
- Very VERY light
- Excellent Cooling

Cons: My standard size power supply hangs out the back of the case farther than J-Lo's money maker.

Seriously Lian Li? Seriously?

Other Thoughts: OK so I've built no less than 50 PCs since the 90s for myself and friends and a stint as an installer in a local computer shop. Never in my life have I seen a case that EXPECTS you to hang the power supply out the back of the case 3" and provides the parts to do it.

For 10 years I've wanted a Lian Li case for their excellent reputation. Never again Lian Li. Never again.

How I bought this case without reading the reviews is a question I'm asking myself now. All the reviewers below are correct. This is a horrible HORRIBLE design.

I swear this thing reminds me of a window air conditioner unit hanging out of a trailer. Boy do I feel classy. At least it was on sale.

2 out of 5 eggsAwkward Power Supply Mount

Pros: -High Quality Finish looks and feels nice
-Aluminum door over external ports
-Extremely quiet fans
-Lightweight aluminum which may also act as heatsink?
-Nice HD and CD drive holders

Cons: -Power supply sticks out the back and blocks the CPU fan
-Finish scratches easy

Other Thoughts: I really wanted a Lian Li case but can't quite find the perfect one

Why can't they make one with only 3 external bays and 6+ internal bays? Also please put the power supply on the floor like the rest of the new cases

Overall it is a nice case with Lian Li quality but I docked 3 eggs for the horrible PSU mount

4 out of 5 eggsnice case

Pros: Looks clean and professional. Easy to install stuff. Dust filter is great. 140mm fan is great. Reasonable price.

Cons: Power supply is in the way, must use low profile cpu coolers. The finish scratches easily.

Other Thoughts: Stock coolers will fit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Good size midtower. Will fit a full size power supply all the way in case if using stock cooler. ( I was concerned about having power supply hanging out the back of case)Very light, and good cooling.

Cons: aluminum seems alot thinner than my lian li pc-v1100, but this case was half the price.

Other Thoughts: with a little planning, you can route all the cables out of sight. Makes for a very tidy case. I would definately buy this case again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for compact builds

Pros: Small and lightweight. Holds a regular ATX motherboard and has 7 drive bays. Cooling is sufficient for most components, even when overclocked.

Cons: Aftermarket CPU coolers will only fit if the power supply is mounted outside of the case. Beware of extra long graphics cards.

Other Thoughts: At first glance you might think that the power supply fan might conflict with the airflow to the CPU fan, but my components run nice and cool even when overclocked with a stock Intel CPU fan.

In regards to graphics cards, there is a small gap between the bottom drive bay and top drive bay, designed for fitting longer cards with aftermarket HSF's. Most motherboards have a PCIe x1 slot at the top, and then below it is the first PCIe x16 slot. As long as your card is installed in that slot and has an aftermarket HSF, you can potentially fit even a Radeon 5970. Otherwise, this case will not fit a stock graphics card that is longer than 280mm.

5 out of 5 eggsI don't own, but

Pros: This is an all aluminium ATX MINI-TOWER case as Lian-Li even states on their website. exhaust fan on the top is 120mm and if it is like my lian-li, it has a slow spin rate and operates silently. The 140 on the front should be equally silent as well as equipped with an air filter. Most of it is tool-less beauty designed by lian-li. They really make quality products and I have used several.

The HDD bays are the same as the ones in my case and the rubber washers to mount the HDDs with are ingenious. They make the HDDs silent, but don't lose them, it would be difficult to mount the HDDs without them.

Cons: If you want to mount a huge video card, this may be an issue for you as it is a micro atx case and isn't designed for the highest end cards out there. I would go with a geforce 210, 220, 230, or 240. Anything higher than that may give you issues in a tiny case.

Other Thoughts: Okay, here's my beef with the timeset review. The PSU can be mounted ENTIRELY OUTSIDE THE CASE, HALF-WAY, OR ENTIRELY INSIDE THE CASE (if your processor fan isn't enormous i.e. 120mm. Besides, who puts a 120mm PSU HS in a M-ATX case, its absurd? ).

Shoppers, please visit the product website below. The advantages of having it out or part-way out are in what size of hardware you have inside and if you want the PSU operating on cool air or helping the case vent out its warm air (the cooler air will increase the life of your PSU, but if you leave it in, then it increases the life of your other hardware by keeping them cooler).

1 out of 5 eggsPS mount is horrible.

Pros: It's a Lian-Li

Cons: What the heck was LianLi thinking here? The Power supply mounts on the outside of the case? Why spend the money on an attractive case if they go and do something like that? Beware - I doubt you'll be able to fit a 120mm heatsink on the process once the PS is in place.

Other Thoughts: I can't get past the power supply mounting position.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a mid tower!

Pros: This case has fantastic features and is very attractive. Also extremely light weight and manufacturing seems solid.

Cons: It's a mini tower, despite the item name and specifications. As of today, the page still calls it a mid tower.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a mini tower, this would probably be a great one. If you're looking for a mid tower, look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Nice One By Lian-Li

Pros: • EXTREMELY light weight!
• Short case will accommodate big power supplies and big motherboards.
• 140mm fan in front, 120mm fan up top.
• HDD have mounting system that cuts down on vibration and noise.

Cons: There really aren't any. The install went very smoothly without a hitch. It even included a tool to make it easier.

Other Thoughts: I built a PC for a friend in this case. I connected both fans to the Asus motherboard and enabled Q Fan. They tell me it's strange because now they can't tell when the PC is on unless they go in the room at look at it. With all the parts inside of this case it is still the lightest thing I've ever dealt with. Very nice.

I'm happy about this, but some might not be. The fan in the front is a clear 140mm fan, but it did not light up. I think it's too gimmicky, but some might actually want that.
