XClio's Windtunnel is engineered to support your high-performance gaming system in understated style! The exterior is designed around a pair of 250mm side fans, which direct fresh air onto your precious components. Both fans are controlled by a VR speed control. The fans' blue LED lights give the system a cool glow, let you see what's going on inside, and an external display keeps you on top of the temperature inside the case. With vents on the right side, top, and rear of the case, and mounts for an optional 80-120mm fan in the rear, your system stays cool, no matter how intense the action gets!
An I/O panel mounted next to the front bezel hosts 2 USB 2.0 ports, AV jacks, and a FireWire connector for easy access, even with the front door closed. Heat? Not anymore!
- Pros: There are definitely a few things I love about this case: 1) This thing is big! It is exactly what I wanted; it is a nice height and depth so there is plenty of room for whatever component you have. 2) The 25cm side fans are definitely a plus. My biggest problem with my last case was horrible cooling provided to the video cards. This is surely not the case anymore. Even under intense gaming, my hardware stays at a nice, cool temperature. Also the fans are darned quiet which really surprised me. The only noise I hear from the case is the obnoxious 12cm fan I put in the front of the case. Otherwise, the case is totally silent. 3) The extra vents that XCLIO put all over this thing. The extra vents were a plus for me since I am big into modding cases but I would assume it to be a plus for everyone since it increases air flow.
Overall, this is probably one of the most well-built cases I have bought from Newegg. Solid!
- Cons: I have no problem with this but I just wanted to post it to help others. This case is pretty heavy. I was expecting a beefy full-tower and that is what it is. This thing is kind of a chore to haul around I have no problem with it. Just be warned if you were wanting something light.
Also the side fans and fan power buttons have LED's that are pretty bright. Once again, it doesn't bother me but maybe would to someone else.
- Other Thoughts: Really awesome case. I would highly recommend this case to any gaming enthusiast or just someone who wants to keep their hardware cool. The side fans are definitely a helpful for dual video card configurations. My specs are: Core2Duo E6850, 4gig DDR2 1066mhz, 2x Nvidia 8800GTS, Nvidia 680i SE mobo.
One of the Best
- Pros: I build about 10 a year & this is the best case I have used so far & that includes most of the full tower Thermaltakes. The side fans are quiet & very effective. Speed on these fans & the lights can be controlled. USB ports are well located on this case...I have never liked them on the top. Plenty of space & all tooless. I switched my main unit to this case & brought my temps down 8c. Very sleek look.
- Cons: Not a con to me but it is big.
- Other Thoughts: But it now...you will not regret it!

Solid, effective case
- Pros: VERY nice cooling, I feel cold air coming out of all of the holes, even with a fan not present. Keeps my processor and GPU cool. Nice big dual fans on the side, quiet. ROOMY too.
- Cons: Tool-less PCI slots angered me since I could not fit my GeForce GTX 260 on it, the prongs collide with the card. What a pain to get a screw driver and work around that since my hand space is very limited in that area
Awesome
- Pros: This case is great, holds everything you could ever want to put into it, always cool and silent, and looks awesome. I've had this case for almost half a year now and I havn't had any problems so far. The fans are suprisingly quiet at full power, it's great.
- Cons: You should fully understand its size before you order (big isn't bad). Also, when mine first arrived i had to bend the LED lights near the fans cause the fan would hit them.
- Other Thoughts: Was my first build and was very easy due to all the space.
Amazing
- Pros: *Tool less
* DVD burners, HD's and floppys (if you still use em i don't) snap into place effortlessly.
* Side fans have built in fan control as well as turn the LED's on and off / fans on and off.
* Case has a huge amount of room
* Has a spot for a back 120 and a top 80 or 40MM case fan.
- Cons: The tool less HD cases you snap onto the hard drive to snap into the case feel a little on the cheap side, or flimsy. However the ones for CD/DVD drives feel solid built.
- Other Thoughts: I think this case has more room and features then the thermal take armour cases however this is not a comment to choose which case to take over the thermal takes are still rock solid cases, but this one feels rock solid as well.
