Pros: None.

Cons: Just a piece of junk. Read the return policy carefully before buying - no returns, just exchange.

5 out of 5 eggsDebian Powerhouse

Pros: Specs are comparable to those of the Raspberry Pi credit card sized computer. If you are tech savvy and know what you are doing, this thing can be one amazing machine.

Cons: If you don't have years of experience messing around with operating systems- in this case, Linux- it's probably not worth your money. Browsing the web with Windows CE is a bumpy ride and you won't like it.

Other Thoughts: I spent a lot of time figuring out how to install Debian on this thing- and sure enough, I got it working. The wireless card does work and I am able to get this thing online. With three USB ports and an SD card slot, this thing is extremely handy.

What can you do with Debian?
Take notes in class
Browse the web (Chromium is slow, but console based browsing works)
Format SD cards and USB drives
Run DOSBox
Run Pidgin

As you can see, Debian is highly extensible, so it's best if you slap this netbook with Linux instead of using Windows Chineese Edition.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid

Pros: Small computer. Seems strong and not flimsy.

Cons: Old tech. I had one that came with CE 5 and app support was terrible.

Other Thoughts: I have used the CE version and the Android version. SYNETA7. The CE version is outdated and the SYNETA7's I had both died within a year.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Toy For Kids

Pros: Price, can't expect much for $33
Will allow 8gb SD Card

Cons: Very limited capability
No printer support
Battery drains when powered off
Slow ARM 300mhz CPU
Does not have YouTube support as stated. In face, the only video I have been able to play is WMV

Other Thoughts: Well you can't expect much for the price. I updated to a newer version of WinCE. There is software available if you search the web - you will need SD card for software, music, videos. After system update the WiFi worked well. You have to remember to power off WiFi and power back on after setting up WiFi connection. This would be great for small children to learn about computer. It is fairly safe for the Internet because it won't support any flash or videos and viruses and malware are not usually a problem on WinCE.

2 out of 5 eggsNot recommended, even as a toy.

Pros: It's cheap, light, small, and can browse most websites. I don't have a smart phone, but wanted something I could carry around with me on campus without worrying too much about it getting stolen. You can also install compatible third party operating systems. "Blame Poodwaddle" on YouTube has a good video and link to a collection of Android versions up to 2.2 that will work with this available for download.

Cons: Unfortunately, the hardware is very slow and installing another OS other than Windows CE makes it hardly a difference. Whether you are using Internet Explorer 6 (released in 2001) on Windows CE or the default Android browser, it still feels like you are browsing the internet on dialup with Windows 98 and a Pentium II processor. The processor was originally advertised as 1 GHz but in reality it is only 400 MHz.

Another major thing, the YouTube application will not work on both the latest version of Windows CE from Sylvania's website and the Android 2.2 version for this. My guess is that YouTube has changed a lot in the past few years requiring a new application to run. No one else on all of the forums I have visited has been able to get YouTube to work as of late 2012, early 2013, and it probably will never be able to run on this device again.

Other Thoughts: There is some hardware compatibility issues with Android, and quite honestly it feels even more heavy on the system than Windows CE. I would personally recommend just flashing to the latest (2-22-12) Windows CE version available to download for this model on Sylvania's website. By default I keep it to using mobile versions of sites since they load a lot quicker, but if you want to use Google you will have to turn off the mobile site mode.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is what it is

Pros: Have you seen the price? Yeah, it's cheap. The build quality seems to be pretty good too, it doesn't feel like it cost 30 dollars. Flashing is super easy, just download a new operating system (Windows CE is terrible), put it on a sd card, and boot. I've had Android running pretty good, but I think a Linux distro would be better, haven't found one yet though. The keyboard is well laid out and the screen is pretty bright.

Cons: Slow processor, small amount of ram, not a fan of where the power button is.

Other Thoughts: Yeah, it's rated terrible. But what are these people expecting, to be able to play Call of Duty on a 30 dollar email machine?!?
