5 out of 5 eggsGreat customer service from G.Skill

Pros: Stable
Works fine

Cons: Had one bad module, but see Other Thoughts below.

Other Thoughts: Bought this memory in June 2012. It worked fine until December 2013, when I started getting BSOD. I ran memtest86 and found one bad module (out of four). I got an RMA from G.Skill and sent the pair to them. About a week later I got replacement memory modules, no questions asked. This resolved the problem I had been having. Very satisfied with G.Skill support!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Easy install.
Shiny heatsinks.
Looks cool.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Older mobos that aren't default with this particular RAM require a flash with a BIOS update to even recognize it. More a problem with the mobo than with the RAM, but just a thought.

5 out of 5 eggsOverclocks

Pros: Overclocked to 2000MHz

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I wish I got a blue kind so it matches my MSI-Z77A-G45 Motherboard, but thats alright. Not docking an egg for that because that was pretty much my fault and also when i bought this they were on sell for $48 back in Feb. 2013

5 out of 5 eggs  great ram

Pros: Great ram. I bought it three years ago, and it has been working flawlessly ever since. Speedy, stable, and works as advertised.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: When I bought these sticks back in 2010, higher bandwidth ddr3 was either too expensive to be practical or simply not available. Now a days, you can get high quality 1600 or 1866 MHz ram for the same price.

5 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL.FTW

Pros: Solid design, stability, performance, aesthetics, etc. I bought the 2x4GB pair over a year ago when I custom built my first PC, and just the other day bought the identical same pair to bring total RAM up to a respectable 16GB. No compatibility problems despite using year old RAM.

Cons: None really. Watch out for those jaws! Installing 2 sticks is less daunting than 4 sticks, but then again I'm relatively n00bish regarding custom builds.

Other Thoughts: So many what-ifs popped up while I was building my computer. Some issues did arise, but none involving RAM. This stuff is built for people like me - just starting to get their feet wet - as well as advanced users who already know they're paying for quality and stability. And a lifetime warranty thrown on top. Go team G.SKILL.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Built with a flashy heat-sink, the Ripjaws have one of the coolest aesthetics of all the RAM out there. It can handle the extra voltage, should you want to get more out of it.

Cons: I had a callous on my thumb because said aesthetics and a stubborn memory slot..

Other Thoughts: If you're building a new box from scratch, always save the RAM for somewhere around the end of your construction. Chances are the price will go down drastically.
