5 out of 5 eggsGood quality 3.0 outputs

Pros: This really appears to be high quality, I made some large file transfers to my 3.0 portable WD drive and was amazed at the transfer speed.
It also has output to go to front panel 3.0 usb's via a 19 pin cable (not supplied). It's downward compatible too.

Cons: Didn't find any cons.

Other Thoughts: My Coolermaster case (912) didn't have front 3.0 usb's so I added a 3.5" front panel with 2 ports and it really works well.
Raidmax and several others have these already mounted and you just need to add the card and attach the cable.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card, but...

Pros: works as described, comes with all you need to install in different configurations.

Cons: Although it will install as a low profile using included bracket for SFF type cases, the required power input is facing upward on the top of the card. This is counter intuitive to a low profile installation as the case cover won't fit with power cord sticking up. Unable to use on any of the 5 SFF Dell PCs I tried.

5 out of 5 eggsReview update

Pros: correction...
Please ignore the A/C adapter comment part of my review. I was referring to the TekRepublic USB 3.0 4-port HUB that is plugged to the HooToo card. It also comes with an A/C adapter. I inadvertently partly reviewed that product with HooToo together, here. My mistake and sorry for the confusion. Everything stands except the A/C comment...just ignore the A/C statement!!

Cons: see above

Other Thoughts: see above

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: This is a great product. I was able to install it in a Asus P6T mobo with very little effort. I'm averaging 115mg/sec...it was tested by transferring files from an eSATA device to a Seagate 3gb USB3 HD . It seems to work fine without the A/C adapter; hence, not using it. I have not experienced any issues thus far. It appears to have fixed my PC not going to sleep issue, manually only. Auto sleep still an issue. I have a USB 3.0 4-port HUB by TekRepublic attached to it for a total of 5 USB 3 Ports. This works well since my mobo only supports USB 2. I got both on special. This is a cool device. It makes my old, but still functional Intel i7 920, PC seem less ancient.

Cons: The only minor con is that I had somewhat a difficult time attaching a 4-pin molex to the HooToo card because the cables of my Corsair 750W PSU are very stiff, thus, not easy to move cables around inside the mid-tower case. And plus the 4-pin header location should be at the end (180 deg) instead on the side (90 deg). This would make it easier to connect the molex at least in my mobo.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if the A/C adapter is necessary. I'm not using it. I have a Corsair 750W PSU. This could be the reason.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: None that I can find. It was on sale?

Cons: Disabled my LSI MegaRAID controller. I spent hours troubleshooting, only to find the instant I removed this garbage USB 3.0 controller that my RAID array was just fine again. Buyer beware! It can mess with your other PCI-E devices!!!

1 out of 5 eggsHooPoo

Pros: NONE

Cons: Constant BSODs on ASUS mobo with nVidia chipset. Then I tried it on a different mobo made by Gigabyte, and it wouldn't even start or POST when device is plugged in.

Other Thoughts: Paid $22 for it, so it's not even worth shipping back for RMA, unless HooToo gives me a shipping label. Really disappointed with this product. At first I thought that VIA chipset had something to do with BSODs on nVidia based mobo, but now I just know that it's garbage all around.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for what i need it for

Pros: -Works
-has an internal 30-pin connector

Cons: -The power connector is on the side (versus the back)
-Doesn't solve world hunger

Other Thoughts: I only bought this because my computer case has a USB 3.0 port built-in on the front, and i didn't realize when i bought my MOBO that it didn't have an internal connector for it built in. i don't even have any USB 3.0 devices, i just wanted the port to be usable so i can't verify if it has the full advertised speed. And as far as the power connector being on the side, it just makes my molex cord look bad and i'm afraid it might hit my side fan.

5 out of 5 eggsNice and simple.

Pros: I had a tough time deciding due to other comments about compatibility with Win8.1. But I'm glad I decided for this card, it work right out of the box with Win8.1 without the need of additinal drivers.

Cons: None so far.
