1 out of 5 eggslasted 2 years 4 months

Pros: Worked without issue for just shy of 2 and a half years

Cons: Completely stopped working. Never had a high load ( i5 2500k , 8gb mem, 7850 2gb 1 ssd 1 hdd). Contacted raidmax directly for rma service or support. They said they have a two year cut and dry warranty and that I should (figuratively) pound sand. replaced it with a seasonic (which I should have got in the great place

1 out of 5 eggsTotal Gabage

Pros: Cheap

Cons: It is a worthless piece of trash. LED DOA and after an hour of use a loud pop came from the PSU. Never again, I was a little sketched out about buying it after doing some research on Raidmax PSUs and for good reason they are garbage. Do your research there is overwhelming articles about this. I wish I would have before I invested in this product. Personally, I hope new egg will stop selling this company's PSUs.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty fan kills it

Pros: Ran for almost a year

Cons: Almost a year later and I smell burning open my case and burn my hand on the PSU! turns out the fan has gone bad and almost isn't spinning. opened it to replace the fan just to find out RAIDMAX does not make the fans to replace it. If you value the rest of your computer do NOT buy this! You run the risk of destroying everything else in your computer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to thank you for your review.
We have heard your response and want you to know that there is a 2 years warranty for this PSU.
If you have any other questions or concerns, or need to have a replacement, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

1 out of 5 eggsJust eh...

Pros: Works.
Did not die within 1.5 years that I have put this to use

Cons: I have been using this PSU since June 2012, and just switched over to OCZ Fata1ity 750W.

I have never been able to push my 3770K over 4.80GHz and I thought this was because my CPU was just a little special.

But after switching the PSU I was able to get stable 5.00GHz and boot into windows but unstable at 5.30GHz

I did not hit 700W max draw (3770K + GTX 780)

I used to buy Raidmax Cases for the looks and bought this without looking more into it.

DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE.

Other Thoughts: I have this one collecting dust atm and I was thinking about building a low end computer for one of my friend and wanted to use Haswell i3. I have sent in a question about Haswell compatibility on the same model PSU that was manufactured before the Haswell release. Did not get a reply yet so thats on hold.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're sorry that this PSU didn't work out for you.
However, from your feedback you mentioned you've only had it for 1.5 years, we back up this PSU with a 2 years warranty.
If you like to process a return, rma, simply send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

Pros: Looks cool with the blue LED fan

Pros: power supply works as it is suppose to

Cons: this power supply says it has 2 pcie ports it does not it only has one with an adaptor to make it two with newer video cards requiring two seperate ports it will not supply enough power for video card. misadvertise what you actually get from this power supply. not satisfied at all with purchase would not recommend to anyone looking to buy.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk. Don't bother.

Pros: It looks nice, has semi-modular cabling and a button to turn the light off in it.

Cons: Failed hard within the first hour of using it. I smelled something burning then my entire PC just shut down. I check out the PSU and it was hot enough to cook eggs on and stunk like burnt plastic. I let it cool off a bit then turned it back on, it fired back up but the fan in it was totally dead, thus causing the overheat and fail. I was a little peeved considering I just put a new Radeon 7950 in there was about to go ballistic if it had fried it but it was fine once I put my old Antec 550W back in there.

Other Thoughts: I think the main problem with this power supply is it's horribly cheap fan in it. It's too bad too because had they spent a few more pennies on the fan I think it would have been an ok power supply. Do yourself a favor and just buy something more reliable, I'm out $12 for return shipping to get my refund on this dud.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,
We're sorry that this PSU did not work out for you.
We thank you for your opinion on the fan issue.
We would like to hear more from you! Please email rma@raidmax.com or call for live support at (909)623-6789 from Mon~Fri 9AM to 5:30pm pst.
We thank you for choosing Raidmax.
