1 out of 5 eggsBAD

Pros: None really

Cons: Had the PSU installed for less then a day, over heated and caused a crash to my new system, Come to find the fan does not work at all now i have to RMA and hop the 2nd one works

Other Thoughts: I first tired to RMA via Raidmax. I called the phone was they where very rude to me, asking one question then telling me to e-mail the RMA Department and when i tried the e-mail got sent back. I would get a refund via newwgg but i was a combo deal and i would have to send back the whole tower to do

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
Our RMA department only replies to emails simply they just need to get the accurate info from the customers.
If you need to process a RMA, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: It worked well when it did.

Cons: Terrible quality PSU. I had accumulated very light use over exactly 2 months, and it failed. I was not pushing the power limit in any way. Don't buy this power supply; it's bad.

We have heard your response and forwarded over to our production team in our manufacture factory overseas.

1 out of 5 eggsgood unit until died at 60 days

Pros: I got this unit as part of a kit.
Having assembled the computer, it worked well.
It had a good selection of connectors.
Ran quietly during short life.

Cons: Then it was too quiet. It died 2 months after I received it.
I called newegg, since more than a month had elapsed, I must contact the manufacturer, and the phone support person gave me a # to call.
The guy who answered the phone said can't do; I must email raidmax w. receipt.
I emailed raidmax with the receipt from Newegg.
No response. After being out of town for a while, still no response.
I have a dead power unit, and raidmax does not respond.

Other Thoughts: I'll never buy a raidmax again.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry about the PSU issues you're having.
If you like to email us, we're more than happy to respond ASAP.

1 out of 5 eggslasted 2 years 4 months

Pros: Worked without issue for just shy of 2 and a half years

Cons: Completely stopped working. Never had a high load ( i5 2500k , 8gb mem, 7850 2gb 1 ssd 1 hdd). Contacted raidmax directly for rma service or support. They said they have a two year cut and dry warranty and that I should (figuratively) pound sand. replaced it with a seasonic (which I should have got in the great place

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsTotal Gabage

Pros: Cheap

Cons: It is a worthless piece of trash. LED DOA and after an hour of use a loud pop came from the PSU. Never again, I was a little sketched out about buying it after doing some research on Raidmax PSUs and for good reason they are garbage. Do your research there is overwhelming articles about this. I wish I would have before I invested in this product. Personally, I hope new egg will stop selling this company's PSUs.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty fan kills it

Pros: Ran for almost a year

Cons: Almost a year later and I smell burning open my case and burn my hand on the PSU! turns out the fan has gone bad and almost isn't spinning. opened it to replace the fan just to find out RAIDMAX does not make the fans to replace it. If you value the rest of your computer do NOT buy this! You run the risk of destroying everything else in your computer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to thank you for your review.
We have heard your response and want you to know that there is a 2 years warranty for this PSU.
If you have any other questions or concerns, or need to have a replacement, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

1 out of 5 eggsJust eh...

Pros: Works.
Did not die within 1.5 years that I have put this to use

Cons: I have been using this PSU since June 2012, and just switched over to OCZ Fata1ity 750W.

I have never been able to push my 3770K over 4.80GHz and I thought this was because my CPU was just a little special.

But after switching the PSU I was able to get stable 5.00GHz and boot into windows but unstable at 5.30GHz

I did not hit 700W max draw (3770K + GTX 780)

I used to buy Raidmax Cases for the looks and bought this without looking more into it.

DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE.

Other Thoughts: I have this one collecting dust atm and I was thinking about building a low end computer for one of my friend and wanted to use Haswell i3. I have sent in a question about Haswell compatibility on the same model PSU that was manufactured before the Haswell release. Did not get a reply yet so thats on hold.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're sorry that this PSU didn't work out for you.
However, from your feedback you mentioned you've only had it for 1.5 years, we back up this PSU with a 2 years warranty.
If you like to process a return, rma, simply send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

1 out of 5 eggsCool looking but DOA

Pros: Looks cool with the blue LED fan

Cons: Unfortunately mine arrived DOA. Thought this would be a nice addition to my new build but the quality was obviously not there. Tried my system with another psu and no problems.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're sorry that this PSU came DOA for you.
Since you just received it, you can process the RMA with Newegg for money back if you like.
