Return Policies

Replacement Only Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: Non-refundable
  • Return for replacement within: 30 days

This is our Replacement Only Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This item may be returned for a replacement within 30 days only") must be returned to Newegg within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same item. If the original item is no longer available, a Gift Card in the amount of the price originally paid will be issued. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by Newegg, and not the mere issuance of an RMA. Products subject to this policy cannot be returned for a refund.

Please Review the special notes specific for your product:

  • CPUs:
    • Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) improper handling and any other type of damage sustained by irregular use.

Manufacturer Only Return Policy

This is our Manufacturer Only Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This item cannot be returned for a replacement or refund") cannot be returned to Newegg.These products are covered by a Manufacturer Warranty which can be obtained by contacting the respective manufacturer for assistance after purchase. Consumable Product Return Policy

This is our Consumable Product Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This item cannot be returned for a replacement or refund if opened") cannot be returned to Newegg.

Consumable items are items such as Printer Ink and Toner Cartridges, CD/DVD Media, Retail Packaged Software, Downloadabe Software, Paper Products, etc. that are consumed once they are used.

Non-Contract Cell Phone Return Policy

  • Return for replacement within: 15 days

This is our Non-Contract Cell Phone Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This non-contract cell phone may be returned for a replacement within 15 days only") must be returned to Newegg within 15 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Products covered by this return policy may only be returned for a replacement of the same item. If the original item is no longer available, a Gift Card in the amount of the price originally paid will be issued. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by Newegg, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.Products subject to this policy cannot be returned for a refund.

Services and Extended Warranties Return Policy

  • Return for refund within: 90 days
  • Return for replacement within: non-replaceable

This is our Services and Extended Warranties Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This service or extended warranty can only be returned for a refund within 90 days if the service or warranty has not been used or redeemed.") can be returned if the service or warranty has not been used or redeemed. A return must be initiated by Newegg within 90 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply.

Overall Return Guidelines

These are Newegg’s (“Newegg”, “we” or “our”) Overall Return Policy Guidelines applicable only to products purchased by you directly from the Newegg website. All returns must meet the overall guidelines in order for the individual return policy to apply.

  • All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You may obtain an RMA number by contacting Newegg Customer Service through any of the methods provided here.
  • Any return for a refund may be subject to a restocking fee of 15% to 25% at Newegg’s sole discretion.
  • All products that are new with the retail packaging never opened can be returned to Newegg within 30 days regardless of the individual return policy. Return shipping will not be covered by Newegg.
  • Products that are received by Newegg in any of the following conditions are not eligible for return and may be sent back to you at your cost and expense:
    • Any product not purchased from Newegg
    • Any product that does not exhibit the described reason for the return (i.e., A return initiated for a DOA product that powers on and works properly upon inspection)
    • Any product with missing, damaged, altered, or otherwise unreadable serial number label, manufacturer model or part number label, and/or warranty label
    • Any product that is returned without all original packaging and accessories, including the retail box, manuals, cables, and all other items originally included with the product
    • Any product from which the UPC code has been removed from its packaging
    • Any product that exhibits physical damage
    • Any product for which you have submitted a mail-in rebate
    • Any product which appears tampered, customized, or altered in any way

Combo, Bundle and Kit Specials
Combo, Bundle, and Kit Specials include two or more items that must be purchased together in order to receive a discount.

Items sold as part of a Combo, Bundle or Kit may be returned individually for replacement within the applicable Newegg.com Return Policy Period for that individual item.

If an individual Combo, Bundle or Kit item is returned for a refund, the applicable discount will be voided, and the discounted amount will be deducted from the amount of the refund. If your combo/bundle/kit discount amount is greater than the individual unit price of the item you wish to return, then the item cannot be returned for a refund; you will need to return all items in the combo/bundle/kit in order to receive a refund.
- For example: if your combo/bundle/kit discount was $5, and you return one of the items for a refund, the $5 will be deducted from your RMA refund amount.

Manufacturer Promotional Items and Newegg Gifts
Manufacturers may offer free promotional items with their products. For example, a video card may come with a free game or a Blu-ray player may come with a free Blu-ray disc. To receive a full refund on a purchase that offers promotional items all items must be returned. The cost of any promotional items not returned will be deducted from the refund total.

Newegg may also offer gifts to valued customers for their continued support as well as for special giveaways. These gifts are not part of any purchase value and therefore do not have to be returned.

Out-of-Stock (Back-Order) Items
If Newegg no longer carries an item that is sent in for replacement, or if that item is simply out of stock, Newegg will issue you a refund. If the item is returned within 30 days of the original invoice date, a full refund will be issued. If the item was returned beyond 30 days of the original invoice date, a refund at the current market value of the product will be issued. A current-market-value refund may not exceed the original invoice price.

Quantity Purchases
While Newegg is more than happy to fill your order for a quantity of ten (10) or more of any given item in our inventory on a single purchase order, please understand that an order of that size, once purchase is completed, is automatically non-refundable. All other specific conditions related to the ordered item still apply, including any and all stipulations relative to any available replacement return policies.   • Desktop PC, Notebooks, or Tablet PCs:
    • A defective Desktop PC, Notebook, or Tablet PC that is returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at Newegg's sole discretion, unless otherwise required by law. While we strive to adhere to our own standard RMA processing times, we cannot guarantee that these times will be met, especially in situations where the item must be sent to the manufacturer for repair. If you have a question regarding returning a Desktop PC, Notebook, or Tablet PC, please contact our Customer Service Department.
    • Some computer systems will require pre-authorization from the manufacturer technical support in order for an RMA to Newegg to be authorized.
    • For computers that have had an additional operating system(s) installed, we will provide you a replacement or refund as noted in the above policy as long as the original operating system is not corrupted or removed.
    • Televisions:
      • For televisions with a screen size greater than 37 inches: An adult (age 18 or older) is required to sign the shipping courier's release form to complete delivery. It is highly recommended that you inspect the product upon delivery for visible damage. Large item shipments require that shipping damage is reported within 48 HOURS of the product’s delivery. Any damage reported more than 48 HOURS after the product delivery will not be accepted by Newegg for replacement or refund. After delivery, please read all included documentation and/or contact the manufacturer directly to determine applicable warranty coverage, if any. If you need to return a product that was shipped via Large Item Delivery, please contact Newegg’s customer service department to obtain instructions on how to return the product.
    • Point of Sale Products:
      • Some items are non-returnable, including software, custom labels and opened supplies (including without limitation labels, ribbons, receipt paper, receipt ribbons, print heads, card stock, RFID tags).
      • Special order products are not eligible for return
      • Any product that is returned with markings or writing made by customer on the original box is not eligible for return.

    Open-Box Items

    • Return for refund within: 15 days
    • Return for replacement within: non-replaceable

    This is our Detailed Open Box Item Return Policy. Newegg.ca often sells items that are listed as "open-box." Because these items are sold at greatly reduced prices, they bear this limited 15-day refund-only return policy through Newegg.ca. Such items can only be returned within 15 days of the applicable invoice date. Newegg.ca cannot provide replacement service for these items, as their stock is limited. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of these items is with the buyer. These items have been tested for functionality, but may have superficial physical defects including (but not limited to) scratches, dings or dents. Should these items prove defective following their purchase, the buyer (not the manufacturer, distributor, or Newegg.ca) assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repairs, unless otherwise required by law. These items are not covered by any 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

    If you purchase an Open-Box product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open-Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.
