Works!!
- Pros: Price, 8 channels, Sony Cameras, remote viewing, motion sensor alert, long cables
- Cons: 1 USB port, can't remove/resize timestamp, performance at night is acceptable but don't expect to make out a face or license plate. Support and documentation is lacking, software interface takes some getting used to.
- Other Thoughts: I recently discovered that you can setup a motion detection area and have the unit beep for a set amount of time, it will also zoom in to the triggered object if you want it to. Very nice if someone is snooping around your driveway in the early morning hours.

updated review after 6 months
- Pros: price
- Cons: poor tech support. 4 of the 8 cameras stopped working after about 6 months and unit no longer recognized usb thumb drive. Tried to call the tech support number, only could get a recording directing me to web site. The tech support claims the unit can only recognize 4gb usb thumb drives although the specs for this unit on their web site stated no size limit and claims usb hard drives are supported as well as usb cd/dvd burners. None work with the unit at this time. They say my power supply/splitter for the cameras is why the cameras have quit, but after a week of emailing back and forth I still have not recieved a replacement or even a commitment from them that I might get one. Their supposed 24/7 tech support means that if you e-mail them, they promise to get back to you within 24 hours. Not much help for a security system in my opinion. My first review rated this unit 5 eggs because setup was easy and the unit worked as promised. I could back up the HD with any of my usb thumb drives, ranging in size fron 4gb to 16gb as well as an external usb hard drive. After six short months I am having way too many problems and their support is quite lacking. Buyer beware

Not Quality/KGuard CA108-H02
- Pros: Unit Performed well out of the box.
All Hookups work well, no problems
with installation. - Cons: This Unit worked exactly 24 months then died.
There is no horizontal hold adjust on the unit
or on the circuit board. Once the unit looses
horizontal hold you can throw it away.
- Other Thoughts: This unit needs horizontal and vertical sync hold
adjust - the circuit board is cheaply made.
