This thing is amazing!
- Pros: I bought this for two reasons. 1. music player 2. access to apps. all i can say is that it is easy to use, easy to load music on to and a great little internet device. look if you dont need a smart phone but want all the apps, this is it! Everything runs great, i can send and receive text, check facebook, send photos to instagram, all the fun stuff the smartphones do, but no bill every month! love it! so what if it i need to be in a wifi area to do all that, not to hard to find a signal....besides, the main reason i bought this was for the music player, everything else is a added bonus!
As for some other reviews, i have had absolutely no problems with this refurb player. out of box, charged, and loading apps and music with-in a few hours of receiving and been going strong since. Not only have i praised this player to others, my boyfriend got one too, and loves it! - Cons: seriously, the only con i can speak of is the head phone jack being on the bottom of the player....just seems out of place, but not really a problem...
- Other Thoughts: just buy one!

Worse than the Clip+
- Pros: I guess itsy bitsy album art is ok. Some menu improvements over my Clip+, but also some things are worse. Battery seems to last a thouch longer than the Clip+. Plays all audio file types I've heard of. Drag drop
- Cons: Cost more than Clip+. Stock headphones terrible (what would you expect). USB cord is plug is new to me... I liked being able to use a more startdard one that I had many of. Now I only have one...
- Other Thoughts: Just buy a Clip+ unless this is significantly cheaper for some reason.

Great Little Player
- Pros: * Excellent sound quality (with new earbuds)
* Durable
* Good radio reception
* Very light weight
* Handy clip
* Decent battery life
* Great price
* Accepts SDHD cards - Cons: * Screen unreadable in bright sunlight
- Other Thoughts: I have owned this handy little player for about two years after losing an earlier Sansa player. It does everything I need in a take-it-with you player. It is perfect for taking to a workout, pool or tuning out screaming kids on the plane.
One tip is to buy a cheap silicone slip case for it and it will last forever (or until battery dies).
The second tip is to visit the Rock Box site and you can transform this into a completely customized media box, but I have other devices to do that.
And know the reset procedure of holding down the power button for +20 seconds. I owned this one for a couple years before I had to reset it, almost threw it out.

Excellent =D
- Pros: Small (Tiny)
Durable
Sounds great
Can use Rockbox software.
Got it cheap refurbished & it arrived in flawless condition. - Cons: Nothing worth mentioning. Tiny. Is that a Con?
- Other Thoughts: This is my lawn-mowing music player. With IEM style headphones it can easily be heard over the mower & trimmer.
I get over 10 hours of playtime at nearly full volume. Full volume is too much. ;) It's been dropped, headphones yanked out many times, soaked with sweat & keeps going strong.
If you break the clip, you're an Oaf. :P

SAVE YOUR RECIEPTS AND BACK UP YOUR RECORDINGS
- Pros: enjoyed it while it worked
- Cons: stopped working, twice
- Other Thoughts: i had read the comments here by previous reviewers how their clip zip stopped working, thought i'd play a gamble, and lost. stopped working 4 months after purchase. spoke with support services in india and he had me press and hold the on/off button for 20 seconds, that reanimated it. same situation occured less than a month later, this time 20 second hold had no effect. it SEEMED as if the return process was simple but it FELT like they really didn't want to ship me a replacement. i just got an email saying a replacement is on it's way. good thing i had only ONE audiobook on it, i did not know i had to or it was possible to back up the recordings, luckily i lost only ONE audiobook. save all your reciepts and all the purchase documentation, you might need it! if i were you i'd save all the packaging too. and document everything (example, if it quits, when, etc.) one year warranty from the factory. this clip zip was an upgrade from another (lower priced) mp3 player i purchased from newegg and after this experience if i were to do it again i would buy the next (price) grade higher mp3 player.

Ok Hardware, meh software
- Pros: Nice sound with earbuds and jawbone jambox. Good price.
- Cons: Software unstable with add in stick. Database builds very sensitive to id3 tags. Had the latest firmware from SanDisk.
- Other Thoughts: Purchased with 32Gb Class 10 stick. Database builds hung and product was unusable until Rockbox was installed, then it is working well. Very happy now, but a painful struggle until new firmware was installed.

Second one died
- Pros: Long play life on battery
- Cons: Problems with the battery lasting. My first one died after 3 months. My second one died after about 9 months.
- Other Thoughts: My second on is listed out of warranty because of the original purchase date. I have requested a discount on a new one thru Sandisk.

What a piece of JUNK!
- Pros: It is small in size.
- Cons: Everything else.
- Other Thoughts: I have bought two of these scandisk clip players and both die shortly after receiving. The first I thought was just a fluke but now after the second just died it is obviously substandard manufacturing. I personally will never waste my money on another one of these since there are a number of other mp3 players at the same price and that actually last longer than a couple of weeks. There are 315 people that rated this at 5 stars but 182 that didn’t. Is it worth the risk of spending your money and getting a piece of junk instead of something that actually works?

Great Mini Jukebox
- Pros: Pocket size, I have over 500 songs in the 4MB internal memory saved as MP3 & Ogg Vorbois. The external memory allows loading a vast number of tunes, after 5 years I have stored 1391 songs on the external chip, using only about 1/3 of my 15 MB chip. If it ws filled there would be over 5 days of music.
- Cons: The battery is not replaceable, if it craps out you have to deep six the whole machine or break the case open and find someway to hack it.
- Other Thoughts: After many months of abuse i broke the clip, no biggie I didn't use it much anyway and now when using headphones I just drop it in my pocket.

It was cheap
- Pros: Cheaper when I bought it.
Plays music.
The clip is pretty nice. - Cons: The interface is ugly.
Equalizer is pretty bad.
Seems like cheap plastic, however mine has lasted over a year, no known drops though.
Not worth $50.
- Other Thoughts: Buy it refurbished or something, just don't pay $50 for it.
